I’m going to mention this DO by name, as he is an internationally, infamous, arse. Hans Hubler was such a narcissistic Nazi, it leaves me scratching my head why WT put up with his antics for so long. He upset so many people that (according to unofficial sources) they ended up moving him from country X to the pacific island area. It was there where he overstepped the mark and WT stepped in and removed him.

The turning point for me was a question raised by a work colleague concerning the divorce rate amongst Christian denominations. Unable to find any satisfying answers the magazines, I decided to google it. That sent me down a rabbit hole I was unable to come up out of. From this question been asked to physically walking out the door took about 18 months.

I listened to the interview. To be honest I found the 2 conducting the interview to be quite condescending and insensitive to the serious nature of the topic. I also found the interview to be very disjointed. If I was Daniel I wouldn’t be happy with how I was treated. Out of 10 I’d give it a 2.

Any signs that Kingdom Halls will re-open soon or door to door work will re-start again?
by eyeslice ini've not heard anything from pimi wife about going back to the khs yet let alone the door to door work.. many churches round here have re-opened if only for private pray and i am guessing that things like singing may be a factor in the reluctance of the witnesses to get back together again.
i also detect that many older ones are still quite afraid to go anywhere they may come in contact with people, even for shopping.
on the other hand, here in uk you can now go to a football match with 70,000 others shouting and chanting.. the door to door work may a total different issue.

There are a number of reasons to explain this. A socially older, poorer, and less well educated demographic. Their application of 1 Tim 4:8, would imply a community less conditioned to fighting disease and obesity.

The Cross in Pompeii & Herculaneum in 79 AD
by Sea Breeze incan someone please tell the wt janitor to turn the lights off when the last jw leaves the watchtower after learning that early christians used the cross as a christian logo of sorts?

Fisherman:that is rubbish. The cross was a device used by the Romans to punish criminals. Nothing more, nothing less. Weather it was a pagan symbol or not had no bearing on the matter. The plural form for nails, and the sign been positioned above his head, suggest it was a cross. There is simply no way a man who had received the beatings that’s Jesus received would have the strength to carry the weight of a pole under his body. The bible says that the device used to kill Jesus was carried on his back. Put all the above together and a cross seems more likely

My advise to WT would be sell up and run with the money. Your going to need all the cash you can get.

This reminds me. It was about 15-20 years before I physically left. I had come to the conclusion that Jesus meet his end on a cross. There was just too much evidence to suggest anything else. I just wished it had been the thing that had jolted me from my sleep like state.
