I was just thinking today. You know I don't really know what I am. I heard the term been frazed as a "neutral witness". I think that's what best describes me. I can see the inconsistencies, the heavy handed tactics, and the down right jack ass things been done. But then I can also see sincere devout people who love God, its just the system they adhere to I disagree with. I would like to leave and guessing I probably will. But I suppose I can describe it to been like a bad marriage. You put up with it as best you can and just go with the flow. That's me.

Is the average age of a J.W going up???
by karter inas atleast 65% of young ones are dropping out,are the j.w's getting older??.
in the inner city congro's were it is expensive to live there is not alot of young ones in the congro's there,seems the average in them is going up and up.. karter..

If they are wanting to grow in western lands they really have to focus on the youth. They have to form a sense of community and social interaction. Other religions invest a considerable amount of money into youth program's. The society produces a couple of books saying how fun it is to go knocking on doors and if you don't keep your legs together you could end up with an itch. I also believe future growth now will not come from knocking on doors but from looking after and caring for its existing members, to stop the exiting. The society has to realize that the youth of today will be the future of tomorrow.

Secret disfellowshipping in Adsense

obviously the society didn't want the bad press and was hoping to sweep it under the carpet that is why it was secret and the defendants weren't there.
to me this is not only unfair but totally bizarre and weird.how can some one be disfellowshiped and yet not know that they are disfellowshiped.

Because it was so hush hush we could innocently be associating with one another, and yet at the same time not know that we were not supposed to. So then could I also be disfellowshiped for associating with another disfellowshiped person who realy didn't know that they were disfellowshiped.(I'm guessing in reality they probably did know. But in this example we will say they didn't). To me a secret disfellowshipping sort of undermines the whole concept of disfellowshipping, as isn't the idea of it suppose to warn members in the congregation that he's an unrepentant sinner. Obviously in this case it was to disfellowshiped and everyone was supposed to find out through E.S.P. Sorry just can't get my head around this one. Your comments plz.

Ok EVERYONE- want to know who is going to be reading this website and others?
by Newly Enlightened inwhile everyone has been bickering back and forth, i decided to do something positive to move forward.
as most of you know back in jan our family marked us as apostates and started shunning us.. so i wrote to all of my congress-people and told them what is going on with the jw's.
i told them how they are breaking up families, teaching the children intolerance, etc.

since i have become aware that witnesses are getting older and that the youth is leaving (well in western lands anyway), i have started doing counts by age group of the people sitting in the hall.
generally in the hall that i attend i have found that 2/3 are 40 and over while 1/3 is 40 and under.
