I just can't believe how in the dark they are
by joe134cd inok the term i can best describe myself is a "neutral witness".
im neuteral in the sence that i know there are points that they are clearly wrong on, but just go along with it anyway because it the easier course of action.
i am fully a wear that things aren't the best, but like a bad marriage i just put up with it, do the best i can with the circumstances i find myself in, and hope things will improve, although they know deep down they won't.. anyway that aside.

Ok the term I can best describe myself is a "neutral witness". Anyway that aside. What I want to talk about is just how in the dark the dubbies really are with what mother organisation is up to. For example with the offer this month of doing tracts, the brother doing the part said "that because of the tracts been smaller this helps with translation". Man I just wanted to scream at him "they ain't got the finances to do it". The man who made this comment I would describe him as been a smart astute business man, but when it come to putting 2 & 2 together really just had no idea.
it would be interesting to ask those in the congregation to raise there hands who knew about issues currently facing the WTBTS e.g child abuse, sell offs, down sizing, member retention etc. I would guess the vast majority wouldn't have the foggiest idea. What saddens me is up until about 2 years ago I probably would of been one of them.

Biggest issue effecting apostates
by joe134cd ini got to thinking today & you know what i think the single biggest issue effecting apostates are.
its they cannot unite and this is what gives the watchtower the upper hand.
what needs to happen (and quite honestly i don't think it will)they all have to come under one common body.

And the above example is the perfect reason why the English (e.g WBTS) has the upper hand over the Ex JW movement (e.g Scottish tribes). Who will be the prophetic William Wallace. Like I said above only time will tell. But if there is to be any historical reform, it will be more effective in a single drive.

Ok have read the posts. Interesting. What I was meaning by the word "apostate" was not in the sense of a label, but in the sence of the Ex Jw movement. I suppose if you can think to the movie of "Bave Heart" about the Scott William Wallace. It wasn't until he managed to unite all the Scottish tribes that they realy had any fighting chance against the English. Although it eventually cost him his life he went down in history in bringing some of the biggest reforms to Scottish history. No doubt some of the tribes at the time had different ideas of democracy but it want until they put these differences aside and united that then they had to be taken seriously by the English. So who will be the next William Wallace??? Perhaps it will be the AAWA, but only time will tell. I hope this has given food for thought.

JW ex-boss is such a horrid man!
by Julia Orwell inok, so my husband worked for this slave driver jw boss in a factory, and injured his back on the job.
so my husband has launched a compensation claim against the jw boss's worker insurance for unsafe work practices.
so the jw ex boss has responded to the claim with this mega statement affidavit thing.

When it comes to money. Witnesses and worldly people behave the same. It's just human nature.

Has Your Heart and Mind Changed About Hiring JWs To Fill Job Openings?
by ÁrbolesdeArabia inif you own a company or small business, will you hire a jw over a non-jw?
did you find jws more productive than non-jws and more honest and outgoing for your business expansion?
the watchtower tries to state that jws are in high demand because of their honesty, you think the world is smarting up and realizing they are just regular people who follow men?

Things can be a lot more uncomplicated if its a witness with worldly person. If things don't work out its see you latter and that's it. I have known of cases where it's worked out well and others its been a disaster. Me personally I would never employ a witness, just to many issues. When it comes to money and witnesses (and especially witnesses who are friends)I have found they don't mix. With money there is very little difference in how witnesses and worldly people behave.well that's my take on it.
