The shit is really hitting the fan now.What I am really curious to know is just what the full extent of it is. I get the feeling that cases like these won't be the end of the matter but the start. I'm glad to be alive to see how these events unfold. Good on you Elizabeth and I hope you get everything that you deserve. Btw I have never read anything in the mags but have they ever published anything confirming the extent of the problem, and what they have been up to. I think the GB boys will be having a few sleepless night and so will their accountants. Goes to show just how stubborn and inflexible they were. It serves you bloody right.

each circumstance has its' own specifics.
in defense of the wts, they do keep track of confirmed pedophiles now.

They have certainly been bitten. But what I can't help but think is if someone hadn't stood up to them, and challenged them through the media and court system, if things would of been so quick to change.. Unless you can successfully sue them they aren't going to help you, infact they probably aren't even going to apologise. Infact most of the witnesses I have spoken to about it ain't even got the slightest idea of what's going on. I even have to tread lightly in how and who I mention this to for fear of getting a JC over it. Just think of the people who got bull dozed (opps sorry disfellowshiped) e.g Barbra Anderson who tried to get them to change. What a lovingl open and transparent organization we belong to. But the ultimate question above all else is. "If this organization was backed by God, why would of he allowed this to happen". Just dosnt add up

he told me he came off the road 6 years ago and is living in scottsboro al.
him and his wife are in their late 70's.

Baffling comment by my JW parents about non-witness funeral
by joyfulfader inmy parents attended the funeral of an elderly family member today.
being out of state i was unable to attend.
i asked how it went and was told that "worldly" people don't care enough about anyone to mention anything personal.

Yeah I agree with the bizarre comments the dubbies say & how much sand they have buried their heads in. For example these are some of the replies I have got when I bring up the child abuse topic.

1 comment = (my personal favourite) The New York times was influenced by apostates & that reading overseas papers was going to confuse me.
Surprisingly not one has said "gee this is shocking and I feel sorry for the victim".

by cedars inbradford pedophile massimo capazzo was disfellowshipped for grooming and abusing two young boys, but the elders never told the police.. he was only prosecuted after turning himself in.. not surprisingly, both victims now need professional help and wrestle with "feelings of worthlessness and guilt.".
