I remember on a previous post someone saying if you typed JW.org into a search engine, it is only after a couple of pages that you start getting apostate sites coming up.

JW.ORG link
by Pete Zahut ini was thinking about the thousands upon thousands of posts that have been made on this site over the years and all the valuable information contained in them.
i was also thinking about all the years that this site was in existence before i stumbled upon it.. i wondered if from now on, if each person making a post on this site, put the words jw.org at the end of the title of their post or somewhere in the body of their post itself, if it would somehow drive those who are looking for jw.org to this site instead?.
for example "what's up with those new literature carts ?

I wonder the amount of responsibility the GB would take on of someone ended up getting stabbed at that Detroit convention.

Why are JWs so afraid of apostates?
by Magnum inwhy are jws so afraid of apostates?
their view of apostates seems to be out of the realm of the ordinary, the natural.
its as if the words of apostates are supernatual or spiritistic as if apostates are some kind of jedi knights who can slightly wave their hands or twitch their eyes and bring one under a spell.

I had a dubbie kick me off her email list, because I wondered if the organization may be having issues with cash. There was no thought of well let's have a look at the facts and see if it is true. It was just apostate and that's it. She is a beautiful person but it's the system that I blame.

The question in my mind is where is it and what is it been used for. Sure their out goings must be high, but still at least a billion in the bank must See them going years into the future.

It amazes me how a person despite knowing the facts can still put another spin in on it.
Two things however stand out to me here.
(1) If he was so confident in his beliefs, then why not allow a place for others to comment to also provide a fine witnesses for their policies and procedures on sex abuse. After all according to him there have been only a few examples of elders not doing their jobs properly.
(2)He has shown a rebellious spirit by setting up a Web site in first place when he has been told not to by the F&DS.

positives VS negatives for the new donation arrangment

A +ve for WTBTS. Apostates will have less fuel for the fire, with regard to forcible refurbishments and the pricing thereof. Now there is less transparency with regard to there business practices.
On the -ve for the KH. I think this new financing structure is going to cause the opposite problem of now trying to get the KH money back when a refurbishment or quick build is genuinely needed. Especially if the money is been used for other purposes - which Im guessing it is as they become more squeezed for money. I honestly believe gone are the days of forcible refurbishments and quick builds with this new funding strategy.

Where were you? / How old were you?... during the Ray Franz witch trial?
by Zoos ini was 13yo and largely clueless to what was going on.
i think i remember hearing something about an apostate being weeded out of bethel but really couldn't have cared less.
i didn't start getting zealous until a couple of years later.. .

Over 300 Partakers in Reno, Nevada! Men Women & Children 12 Years old,
by objectivetruth inthe governing body is powerful, but the holy spirit is infinitely more powerful.
if the wt ever changes, it will be because of a movement such as this.. .
but sanctify the christ as lord in your hearts, always ready to make a defense before everyone that demands of you a reason for the hope in you, but doing so together with a mild temper and deep respect.

Is it true that elders lurk the forums?
by make yourself init seems like it is one huge contradiction.

I can give 2 examples of this
(1)I had an bethel elder admit to me that he used a pseudonym to scope out the young ones face bookes.
(2)I accepted a friends request from an elder on face book (I was quite active at the time). Shortly there after I found out his motivations. So he could prepare a local needs talk about those who are on face book. I was so in sensed by this I went home to delete him, as I felt he totally invaded my privacy (BTW I had nothing to hide, and had stated my dubbie status on F/B). He had been around all the young ones sending friends requests. At the time I was furious at what he done because there would of been no way I would of accepted if I knew what he was up to. Now I just feel sorry for the guy.
