The thing I can’t understand with this guys wife is why she would leave one cooky religion to get into another one, that may appear a bit more main stream, but is just off the charts with crazy. Ok you have got the pyramids of Russel, and Booze Rutherford, but OMG they are nothing compared to the antics of J Smith. That guy was just just out of control. Well that’s just my thoughts on it.

Lacelink- when I left the JWs I didn’t think it was possible to get any more bat shit crazy. It wasn’t until I started to investigate the mormons that I discovered how wrong I was. What on earth made your wife get out of the frying pan and into the fire.

To be honest, I think the JWs have equaled if not out performed the Mormon church in almost every way. The idea that the Mormon membership is bigger, happier and more engaged in their religion is simply not true.

Jesus on the stake
by dothemath ini sat in recently with some relatives for the sunday meeting.
the talk was given by a bethel speaker, who at one point quoted john 20:25.
“but he said to them: “unless i see in his hands the print of the nails and stick my finger into the print of the nails and stick my hand into his side, i will never believe it.”.

When was PIMI I had come to the conclusion, decades before I left, that Christ had to have meet his end on a cross. My biggest regret that it wasn’t enough to wake me up. Apart from whats been mentioned above, the fact, that the account says Jesus carried it on his back. Remember this was from a guy who had been significantly beaten, which would of made carrying a pole heavy enough a support his under his arm almost impossible.

From reddit...How old were you when you became a publisher?
by Biahi ini was six, not given any choice.
i remember being in the old kh, and my dad told me the brothers wanted to talk to me in the back...i was terrified.
i actually thought they knew i didn’t want to be a dub, my dad told them to just add me as a publisher, so no back room meeting.

12-13ish. I got told if I didn’t go D2D I would be removed from the mikes. As a pre teen I really enjoyed doing the mikes, as it gave me a sense of importance. I didn’t want to be looked down upon by my parents and relatives. That been said, the thought of going D2D and bumping into my school friends terrified me. Looking back there was a lot of things that influenced my decision, sadly serving God wasn’t one of them.

The Characterization of most Jehovah's Witnesses
by Mr.Finkelstein inafter years of being with jws you start to see a certain developmental characterization of most jws, particularly from elders who have the most power in each congregation.
.
the ideology follows along the route of holding up a white sheet over the entire organization, as well each identified individual member (brothers and sisters) which no doubt most jws will inevitably exploit toward themselves.. i personally recognized what hypocrisy was at young age from seeing and being around jws at the kingdom halls and what they were like away from the halls.. there is forced pretentiousness at play which comes out by jws.. having being reminded repetitively that god almighty sent his only begotten son to redeem their sins probably had some relevant connection.. there was no question to the fact that jws are associated with delusions, anxiety, fear, ignorance, subsided with prejudice against others who are not recognized as being active jws .. we are the most righteous chosen ones as it were and that self recognizance goes deep into the jws's consciousness in their daily living.

Meetings now resemble something of a Pentecostal revival meeting. Seems like the Pentecostals had it right all along. People line dancing, in the KH, to ache breaky heart. Bethelites dancing to Phanel Williams.

Not ok to salute the flag, but ok to hang it on KH buildings.
The Internet was an unnecessary distraction from kingdom interests, to now, #best life ever.

Just wondering if anyone can confirm or deny this unofficial JW experience that my father received by email. I’ve told him that it against Wt rules to forward unofficial accounts. But of course he just puts that down to apostate driven lies. What concerns me though is that he is now forwarding this email onto others, which may be just totally untrue.
It goes something like this;
A pioneer sister wrote a letter to the CEO of Zoom. She thanked the CEO, that it has allowed the JWs to keep in contact, with each other, and attend the services. The CEO was to impressed with the letter that he forwarded it to 2000 of his staff employees, and this resulted in a fine witness been given.
So can anyone confirm, deny, or has heard something similar in jw circles. Is it just urban JW ledgened similar to the smurf doll running out of the KH. I’m just scared this is going to make my father look a foolish.
