A Mind is a terrible thing to waste
Mind you are an IDIOT you can not form a coherent thought, half the time you don't finish your sentences and you just plain SUCK. You think you have some sort of intellectual mojo going on but you don't. Writing classes might help or getting your head out of your ass. Oxygen deparavation can cause one to feel they are communicating in a coherent logical manner but really they are spewing inane drivel.
Maybe if you wrote your thoughts down crumple the paper and stuff it you would do better
<there are few people I dislike CONGRATULATIONS you have made the list>

Keeping the Dubs Away
by Yerusalyim ini've come up with a sure fire way to keep the dubs away from my door.
this will work way better than the do not call list at the kh.
beings that my wife is a fallen away dub, and that the three step-kids were dubs, i probably have 10 different book bags laying around the house.

I especially like the idea of the chalk body outline, hmmm maybe some crime scene tape

An opening page when people log on
by Kingpawn inwe all know that certain things happen on here frequently: some topics come up regularly, for example ("i'm dating/in love with a jw;" "oral sex;" and so on.
is it possible to compile a list of the most frequent thread titles/subjects and post a faq page, maybe with links to a sample of past threads on topic x, and tell people to click on there rather than begin a new, already-explored topic?
maybe a welcoming page explaining that this is an anti-jw site (the name would tend to give the opposite impression), a list of some of the rules such as bad language, duplicate accounts, trolling, an explanation of (and encouragement for using) the search feature, and other things that, again, seem to be mentioned often?
-
SheilaM
I like the site as it is , I do wish it was easier to find topics I want to view but Simon will remedy this "In Simon's Time" LOL <jus kiddin>

Do we come here to "convince" ourselves?
by bittersweet in.
ok...so the other day my husband(he is still an active witness) starts questioning me about why i come to x-jw sites.. he said the reason people come to these types of sites,is to convince themselves that they made the right decision to leave the"truth".i told him i come here to get support from others who feel they were tricked into believing something that wasn't true.he knows i feel my life has been taken away from me because i wasted so many years following their doctrines.i told him it helps me to know i am not alone in my feelings.he is still convinced that people are afraid they are wrong, and just come here to keep finding reasons to stay away from the "truth".he doesn't understand that we know what the real truth is.. i was just curious what everyone else thought about this.do you feel we are "convincing" ourselves that we made the right decision to leave?

I am an adult I don't need "convincing" I do need friends and that is why I am here and I thank you all for being that
