How was your day/ week thread?
by The Rebel inthis thread is for when you have to say something to get it out of the system, whether it is happy or sad.
my reason for stating the thread is that on occasion some threads do tend to get a little heated here, and maybe this thread will enable us to reflect on the important fact, we are real people and not just dots on a computer screen.. i would love to start the thread with a bang, but nothing of particular interest has happened, only i do hope the weather improves as the climate i live in has been sadly chilly for the time of year, (if you get the deeper meaning).

How did you feel when they eliminated the Con. Book Study?

Thanks George... That was when I was irregular but before I learnt TATT... I was only going to the Sunday meetings at that time. I was very disheartened with some of my personal experiences with some so-called spiritual JW's which left me feeling very hurt & rejected. It was about 3 years later I came across this site - and then everything started to fall in place... -

Rivalry among the sisters
by Esmeralda001 inwhen i was first introduced to the "truth", i was so distracted by the love and affection that the members were showing me that i was ready to convert into the religion without thinking twice.
i was conviced that jws were god's people (i still think some of them are).
i made it my goal to get baptized as i wanted to be part of the "only" religion that produce such good people.

As a born in, I experienced much the same. There were those 'sisters' that always had something to say about my hair, my clothes, my car, my employment, my weight, how much money I earned, what I spent my money on, how much I spent, why I needed to constantly buy new things, why I had a very active social life, who my friends were, who I spoke with - the list goes on. I also have an older brother so I knew a lot of his friends well which also didn't go down well with many 'sisters'... Yes, there was those that didn't like me much & made a life out of bitching about me... But learnt early on not to give a shit what they thought... -

by moley inwell tomorrow is a big day for me.
i'm finally going to be interviewed by the police about what happened to me as a kid.. im running the whole gamut of emotions at the moment.
sad, anxious, angry, guilt, fear and many more that cannot be quantified.. i feel physically sick, cannot sleep, have lost my appetite and i am desperately trying not to self harm.. i've got my sister to thank for getting this far.

Churches in Australia could lose millions in tax breaks under radical national faith register plan
by sherrie11 inchurches and religious organisations would lose millions of dollars in tax breaks, concessions and hand outs under a radical plan to force priests, rabbis and imams to sign up to a national faith register.
under the bold proposal clergy would for the first time be forced to undergo government-specified training and security checks and would be monitored by a national body, or risk losing government funding..
former premier ted baillieu has backed the plan that has been put to federal and state leaders including the prime ministers office, and premier daniel andrews..

Hey Smiddy, I was just responding to Sherry11's 2nd post about what the gov funding in Aust consists of...
i am aware of how discusting this organisation is... I'm a faded 3rd generation born in JW with family members in very high positions within this organisation. I also have a disfellowshipped sibling which total f'd up our family. Even though I never shunned them & we have recently reconnected, in the end, there is some damage that just can't be undone. This organisation has taken so much from me which I know I can never get back. But I am trying to make the most of what I can...
