What's Your Opinion Of The Personalities Of The Governing Body?
by minimus ini believe the gb has typically been an odd group of men.
this new batch, the faithful and discreet slave seem very impressed with themselves....like they are modern day apostles or something....or maybe it's just me..

Before you guys get all judgemental and go off on these guys. Maybe you should consider what it's like to breath book binding glue and Ink Fumes 24/7/365 for about 50 years straight. Why don't you try that yourself and see if your mental facalties are all they're cracked up to be. Just because these guys breath that shit for 50 years straight doesn't automatically classify them as demented.
I have a funny feeling these douchebags don't and perhaps never did get their hands dirty in the printery. They have cushy offices, and tour the world signing bibles and shaking hands with public officials. For they are 'God's chosen men'. The factory floor is for the slaves.
Personality wise - I don't know if their one on one personallity would be different to their stage persona's. From their stage persona's and what we know of their actions etc I would say they are ultimately egomaniacs who have checked out their conciences a long long long time ago.

I'd recommend a veiwing of Carl Sagan's 'Cosmos' to anyone perhaps confused or whatnot. It's incredibly beautiful and Carl's such a nice guy.

Is Richard Dawkins giving atheists a bad name?
by slimboyfat inhe just can't seem to stop himself taunting "these muslims" or "some muslim or other".
among his favourite taunts are:.
"all the world's muslims have fewer nobel prizes than trinity college, cambridge.".

If albumin is allowed when it's not from blood, could white blood cells from mother's milk be allowed?
by ILoveTTATT ini think something that would totally "close the gap" with jw's and not accepting blood but accepting it through the fractions of fractions would be to harvest white blood cells from mother's milk (there are already mother's milk banks) and then transfuse them to witness patients who need wbc's.
since technically they are not from blood, i think it would be an interesting loophole.
anyone here know about a disease that can only be cured/treated with wbc's?

JW's are now mosquitoes. They don't don't donate blood, or store their own blood, but they expect to have worldy peoples blood donated, stored and extracted to save their lives.

Feedback. I got some inspiration
by never a jw inwhen i found the following quote in another thread of the watchtower of november 2013 all of a sudden i got the push and the ideas to do something to denounce jehovah's witnesses as a dangerous religion.. at that time, the lifesaving direction that we receive from jehovahs organization may not appear practical from a human standpoint.
all of us must be ready to obey any instructions we may receive, whether these appear sound... or not.
(4) now is the time for any who may be putting their trust in secular education, material things, or human institutions to adjust their thinking the elders must stand ready to help any who may now be wavering in their faith.

Do you think this could be a part of the reason the GB switched up the Faithful and Discreet slave doctrine?

Elections are coming up in Australia in a couple of weeks. Do most of you after leaving the 'truth' vote?
I've never been enrolled so as long as I don't enrol now I can get away with out doing it. The only temptation for me is to do it to spite the Watchtower and feel a little more 'connected' to society.

The search function on the Times website. There's quite a few. The Fred Franz one sounds quite interesting. Just checked your link - I'm refering to Times magazine not newspaper.

From 1987
"Like certain Amish and Mennonite groups, Jehovah's Witnesses practice shunning: believers are required to treat as pariahs those who have been ousted from the sect. Since 1981 those who leave voluntarily have also been ostracized, even by close relatives. Janice Paul of Anchorage, a former Witness who was shunned by her close friends in the sect after she defected, decided to strike back. She sued the Governing Body of the Jehovah's Witnesses for unspecified damages, citing her emotional distress. An appeals court in San Francisco, upholding a previous ruling by a federal district court, has turned away Paul's suit. The Constitution's..."
