My sense of a cult, is any belief system that separates you from the wholeness of life. So, if your thoughts of nationality shrink your sense of being to a place or parcel, then yes, it's a cult....but that's just my feelings.

Is America one big cult?
by barry indont get me wrong im not a yanky basher like some we know but when visiting my dad the other day got me thinking when he played a dvd he had.. the dvd was of a concert of religious music by the assembly of god and the sdas most of the program was very good with excellent prerformers and uplifting music.
i thought the sdas in the states looked like they were being influenced by the more charasmatic a of g people because many were raising there hands like the aof g do.. there was nothing too unusual until about two thirds through when some marines marched in with the yanky flag with a marine either side complete with rifle .
the remainder of the concert was dedicated to nationalistic hyms of which i cant recall the titles.

UFO's If they Are Life From Other Planets Most Likely Benign
by frankiespeakin ini think that if creatures on other planets evolve enought to design space ships, that can move out of thier solar system for the most part are benign.
it don't take to long to see that as we evolve with selfish traits, like us humans we can destroy all life on this planet, because we arn't that concerned about other animals or plants.
and so it seems to me that if a species on any planet were to evolve and get to the point of being able to travel to other solar system and not in the process destroy themselves and the ecosystem which they live that there is a very good chance that they are benign.

He has never had the sense to see; so being a Witness again only amounts to changing the position of the rock upon which he lays his head in his damp and feted prison cell.

How do you stop hating?
by ThomasCovenant ini'm finding it very difficult not to hate those still in.. my wife says i hate the religion but shouldn't hate the individuals.. i think she's correct but it's getting more and more difficult not to show my feelings of anger and hatred.. the thing is i was one of them for 30 years so i should have more patience, respect and sympathy.. i think they fall into two camps.
1 deluded.
2 self deluded.

Thomas, I suggest some open and honest self examination.
Quietly and without judgment invite and allow the hatred to arise. Clearly see the suffering which accompanies hatred: the emotional anxiety, the physical tightness and tensions, etc. Realize that carrying around hatred is hurting you and those around you; as it taints the beauty of your kindness and compassion. In other words: sit with and get to know hatred and the price you pay to carry it. Once you clearly see the dynamics within yourself, it is then easy to no longer dwell in hatred and you can let go of it.
Hatred may come visit once in a while still, however as you are now aware of it's presence, it is not a problem and quickly fades away.
Discovering such dynamics within yourself also brings deeper understanding and compassion for others who suffer from similar difficulties.

Perhaps I should try harder to understand God.

if a human father punishes his disobedient children by killing them he will be locked up if not executed.
however, most people would concede that such a man must have had severe mental and/or emotional problems to have reached that point.

In my view the Bible-god is a creation of men's minds; a conceptual whip and chain of enslaved thinking. The sooner one purges it from thought and memory, the better.
Leaving the tomb of rotting religious beliefs and deities can allow us to meet more openly with the present freshness and reality of life. Can it be that at the center of our own existence and being, is found the living-truth, the divinity, we seek?

The guy in the above video is taking credit for something which has been around for some time; but may soon develop into something quite interesting.
I made -- in a few minutes -- a hydroxy unit to show you what he is doing:
Apply a little current to water and you get a gas consisting of a mixture of the two components of water: Hydrogen and Oxygen, which is some powerful stuff. Note the foam and bubbles from 12 volts at 2 amps. People call this Brown's Gas, or Green Gas, or Hydroxy, or several other names.
It seems a small amount of this added into the air intake of a combustion engine can increase millage enough to make it worth while. However, you don't want to store this stuff in a tank in your car, as it is toooo dangerous. So, the key is to make an onboard unit which will manufacture the gas on demand, like the little example above, only bigger and enclosed which will run off of your cars 12 volt power.
One would think because of the laws of thermal dynamics that you can't get more energy in return from the drag on the engine required to power the unit making the gas. One must keep in mind that the entire universe came into existence from what? We don't really know, but we know that since we don't know, that energy is a huge mystery to us, and to think that our present thermodynamics laws can box it in is perhaps not wise.
The key to powering our cars with water is this: an opera singer can break the binding powers of glass via frequency. At what frequencies can we do this with water? Feed your 12 volt power into a hydroxy generator at that frequency, and you may not need gasoline at all. You just might power your entire house from a little box down in your basement hooked up to your water main.
