Do you buy into conspiracy theories?
by free2beme ini guess since leaving the witnesses, i have become willing to listen to more things.
mainly because i learned in life, that if the religion you were raised to live and die for is wrong, and deceptive, then couldn't that be said of government and science?
so with this in mind, of the ones i am going to list below.

was kept secret for four years,
That's because most of the people who WORKED on it didn't even know what they were working on! Plus they lived completly isolated from society! How were they going to tell?Good observations, mkr. What you say doesn't in any way discount that secrets can be kept; rather you shed light on how uncomplicated it all may be. As far as the Manhattan Project, there were up to 30 different locations used for production and research. Most of the 100,000+ people were, however, working in three major locations. As far as them all being "completely isolated", I would seriously doubt that with such large numbers of people and various locations and all, though I can not say for sure. Actually, isolation may have been generally unnecessary because of your other point: "most of the people who WORKED on it didn't even know what they were working on". It makes sense that it is this exact dynamics of compartmentalization that allows complex activities involving hundreds, or even thousands of people, to ultimately be clandestine operations, either in part, or in whole. Few would be required to actually be in on the big picture. As far as the moon landings, and lots of other things, I only know that I don't really know. j

I have great faith (based on evidence) in human beings' inability to keep secrets.
The Manhattan Project (U.S. atomic bomb research) was kept secret for four years, even though billions of dollars were expended on it and tens of thousands of people employed by it. Then Vice President of the United States Harry S. Truman didn't even know about it. Within a few days of taking Presidential office he had to be briefed on the entire project. The first test being only 3 months away.

Moon: Yes, men made it to the moon. All evidence supports this, and none contradict it.
Don't bet on that.
Did We Land On The Moon? Fox TV special, 45 minutes. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-1138935117048624484&q=moon&hl=en
What Happened On The Moon? Part One, 2 hours 15 min.: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=1913474363747128107&q=moon&hl=en
What Happened On The Moon? Part Two, 1 hour, 30 min.: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-5737681932896358451&q=moon&hl=en
In my younger years I was, part time, a professional photographer. There is some very valid observations brought out in the above.

If the U.S. government was complicit, would we want to know?
In another thread on this subject, found here (click on me), there is a link to Joseph Firmage's 29 page summery entitled: Intersecting Facts and Theories on 9/11, found here: (online PDF Document). It outlines 42 areas of concern which possibly imply governmental complicity. Because of the dire importance of checks and balances needed on those who controls the vast U.S. military -- if only 10% of it is correct -- thorough unhindered investigations is definitely in order. At this point, can we be sure we know what we don't know? Is black and white thinking currently a luxury we can afford?
In my opinion, hiding behind ufo's and other sarcasm is an act of foolish fear in a time we desperately need to be courageous and clear headed. No offense meant to anyone. That's just how I feel. I hope all can find the time to read the summary and do what you feel is right from there.

Dear xjwms,
May I suggest you get rid of your wife. Problem solved.
Seriously, if you live your life dancing to someone else's music, you will eventually come to hate them and yourself. Your gilt is only a symptom of a much deeper problem.
May I suggest you get real clear sense on how you want to live the rest of your life, and have a deep heart to heart talk with your wife. Honesty is the best policy, here.
Easy for me from way over here, right. Good luck buddy xj.

If there was no religion
by KW13 in.
i was thinking today, imagine if people had their faiths and opinions but no actual religion backing them up.. i believe that it would help stop cults e.t.c making money off people and controlling peoples lives and would help make the world a lot more peaceful.. i've yet to come across a religion that doesn't have problems or in some way is hypocritical.. what do you think?

JamesThomas
For all intents and purposes, Nazism was a religion,
Agree. Here, almost two hours long, is an informative and entertaining Google video: Part One .... Part Two
Edited to add: My sense is that the core problem arises when we transform our beliefs into our reality, and so dismiss what actually is real.

Why would God want to destroy the world?
by DavidChristopher inmakes no sense to me,,,,,.
we have the means to accomplish that..and there are many people willing to do it too.. why would he want to put our necks in a noose..when we do it ourselves?.
who could blame him for us killing ourselves?.

Perhaps it is in agreeance with their desires?
"Their desires"? Besides your mind, where does this destructive idea of god exist?
