Yes, this is very interesting; a new way to separate out hydrogen from water. It will be interesting to see if they can get the power usage down to make it practical.
Dave, do you frequent OUPower.com? Bob Boyce posts there regularly.

so here's a sincere question... and instead of pressing my frustrations and blaming god and bla bla bla... i decided that instead of writing letters to an inactive god, i would ask your opinion!!!!!.
here's the question, looking at the world around you, seeing all the pain and frustration, the death and disease, the war and hypocricy, the starvation and disgust; generally seeing that our world is falling apart... if someone were able to irrevocably prove that there was a god, an intelligent creator is you will, would you want to worship him?
if he was there and created all of this just to watch it all implode, would you be able to respect that?
Are you suggesting there is a wiser choice than reducing the Source of an INFINITELY glorious universe down to the murderously vile tribal deity found within the pages of the Bible?
Atheism, certainly seems -- by fare -- the most honorable of the two. IMO.
j
after reading the frequent threads on atheism verses theism, i find that both are very passionate about one thing, their beliefs.
atheists may not believe in god, but they are firm believers in the abscence of a god and evolution.
theists, on the other hand, are just as firm in their belief in a god and usually creation.
Nice post, cl.
Much of the heat of such arguments is we come to identify with our beliefs as what we are: I am Christian, I am atheist, etc. So it in a way it becomes a psychological life and death thing.
Of course Reality is not dependant on beliefs, it's what IS, no matter what we think. This may be why many wise teachers of truth suggest to be still of all the minds interpritations and just silently be present in this moment of actuality and allow reality to wordlessly share what it will. Unfortunately we have come to believe (there we go again) that the beginning and end of intelligence and wisdom is our mind....even though the entire universe -- including the mind -- came into existence with no help from us.

H.S.
That was a quote of Perry's to you from farther up the thread. I just placed it in my post as basis for the Dawkins link.
j
Perry:
Hillary,You pulled the same disappearing act on me several weeks ago when you said that you would "posit" your souurce of the knowledge of good and bad in something called "social conditioning" .
Here, is a 10 minute Richard Dawkins piece on shifting moral zeitgeist, that is related and enlightening.

J I see where your picture is the court jester. Very fitting LOL.......Didnt they used to call them fools>>?
O.K. so it took the foolish thing in the world to put the wise to shame... Are you teaching Perry???
Well MY vote is for Perry!!!! In MY book you lost....Your rudeness to Perry was petty, small minded, cruel.
Dear Gracie, actually I would be the first to admit I'm a fool, which is why I use it as an avatar. If you read my posts at all you will see I have no animosity towards people, only some beliefs and ideas. We are not our beliefs.
Interesting that the little story you have created in your mind about me ignores the positive statements where I tell Perry "the truth of what he is is the light of my life", and instead you embrace what you see as negative, even "cruel". I told him I meant it endearingly, and that was the truth. Perhaps what really pisses you off is my not embracing your god. This, I understand. Whenever I mention our true Source as being infinite and without end, it most always angers Christians who tenaciously argue for a lesser god. Even -- it seems -- in a thread they start about how "awesome" God is. If it weren't so sad, I'd wet my pants laughing (at least then I would have an excuse).
That I do not embrace your idea of God, dear Grace, does not mean I wouldn't like to give you a big old hug and kiss....or several.
j
Perry, where does your god begin and end? Or does it?
j
ok, i know what you're thinking: "duh, what took you so long!
" "is this guy nuts?".
but i can prove it.. nothing is better than god, right?.
What Nathan said.
I am not judging you, Perry. For what you truly are is the light of my life. It's your shithead beliefs that I find pathetic.
j
Dear Perry, for you "shithead" was a term of endearment. As far as the rest of your post, it is clear we are not communicating at all. Which is likely my fault.
