i just received this mail in french..(thank you google to have translates it)..this mail is from a still inside brother who encourage to come back.

do you think its a fact or an other urban legend.

Just received the same e mail in french This morning,from one of my Family jw.

seems That This week it Is time for french jw to tell tales...

it does not seem to be True...if it was, i seriously doubt That the secret service agent That allowed a guy to have something in his pocket even if was told not to, would have been sacked. They know better than having the président at risk the same way than David Palmer in the last épisode of 24 season 2. Even if there has been recent issues with white house security.

still,it reminds me of the same urban legends i Heard as a child on France, of some people "witnessing" to french président in the 80's or to the french prime minister in 1995 (for those who follow France, Guys names were Francois Mitterrand and Alain Jupé).

but how weird, we Never knew the names of those witnesses and they never were invited to tell their story at an assembly...

looks like a "fairy" tale to me...

Men are not looking forward to becoming Elders or Ministerial Servants

i have noticed an apparently increasing number of men who are not interested in becoming ministerial servants or elders.

i also know of some that have voluntarily stepped down (which is my case) for no obvious solid reason.. i remember, during my teenage years or even during my twenties, the brothers were always looking forward to being appointed... although many still do, i have noticed there are many others with whom you do not know what the deal is.. since there is no freedom of speech within the organization, we remain in the dark about the motives and desires of everybody else.

i attend a congregation with only two ministerial servants, while it is full of men who do not seem to be willing to do more.. it is hard to tell exactly what is going on, since honesty is not possible while you are inside, but i am starting to think that more and more are becoming disillusioned.... .

well, it's christmas eve afternoon here now in the uk.. traditionally a time when all the panic shopping is over, what's done is done, what you've forgotten you've forgotten, time to raise a glass (or two) and relax.. so may i wish all members/readers/posters a very happy xmas, whether you celebrate it or not, and extra 'get up and go' for 2015.. best wishes to all.. .

as JW (oups kind of a jw e officially do not celebrate but i arranges for my wife to have presents and i made presents to myself too;)

assembly on week end means no week meeting before.even if CO is coming This week, there Will only meetings for field circus.

my husband and i are enjoying our third guilt-free weekend of our lives (both born-in, almost 30).

he has been out mentally for the last year and a half but patiently waited for me to come around.

Re Hostage victims killed in Sydney: "dont worry, at least they will NOW get a ressurection"

so most would now know of the vile act in sydney last week where a man held hostage over 17 people in the lindt cafe in the middle of sydney.. two people were murdered...a beautiful, educated lawyer,loving mother of three, and a brave, loving young man working as the cafe manager.. this senseless and cruel act has touched everyone deeply, especially in the communities of sydney.

the outpouring of grief and support for the victims and their families has been immense.. i was therefore outraged to have the following comment made by a witness in conversation at the kingdom hall:.

"well, we dont need to be sad, because at least now they (the two victims) will get a ressurection.

a relative of mine sent to me an extract of a french radio show This morning.

in That show a french member of parliament said something about religious authorities needing to call to their people for peace, and he added "in That case especially the muslim authorities as This Is not about the local jehovah witness around the corner".

This was a way of speach, to state That the first involved should be the muslim religious authorities and nobody else...

but guess what This devoted jw said??

"wow it means That MP recognized how peaceful we (JW tm) are".

i mean...really Guys? A MP says one phrase in 10 minutes That have JW in it and the only thing That matters is jw.org marketing? Not the appeals for peace That religious authorities has to place or a word of compassion for the victims?

let's review:it's a cult....and it's disgusting.

You expect such behaviour from a Wall Street wolf, not from a religion of love.still they do not get it...

congratulations to You and your husband. As a born-in and almost 30 myself i imagine That You have most of your friends and Family still in so it must be(or have been) difficult to deal with the"group" opinion.

like OneEyedJjoe i'm interested in knowing how your husband touched You...i also have my wife fully indoctrinated into jw.org things...while i'm awake for 4 years now...

•guess.

1- yes.just getting worse and worse, because as she said, "if it was not for the truth, life Will have no meaning so i would have ended mine long ago"...

2- Sometimes.luckily as she now is aware That i do not give a sh...t about jw.org religion and That i Just stay there for her, she Is less and less bothering me with jw org language or typical phrases...that's a relief...

3-yes.even for our anniversary also, if there was field service or a meeting to go, i have sometimes to fight to have a really important event like anniversary only for the 2 of us.but sometimes i win;)
