  the LDS Church is more than twice the size of the JW Church.

  There are more active Witnesses than there are active Mormons. The number of active mormons is of some 4 million. The LDS church counts 'lost' and inactive people as members.

  According to the exmormon.org web site: " In November 2003, we averaged 160,000+ hits per day including our Bulletin Boards!! Be sure to visit. 900+ posts per day. " THis sounds murch more than JWD.

  There's much more traffic going on exmormon.org than JWD. Theres many more opposers of Mormons than JWs

  i seem to have noticed lately an increasing number of persons that have declared that they are fading and soon will be out.along with these ones there are also seemingly a large number of new ones signing up with this board.. do you thing that this will show up as a "blip" on the wt radar screen when a large number of people opt out at the same time???.

  The Watchtower Attendance Crisis

  if the average congregation has about 83 publishers in the us, then the organization may be sinking into a crisis.. take that 83 and consider that half the congregations may have less.. take away '15 minute publishers' who don't attend.

  take away completely fake publishers who rarely attend.

  take away increasingly tired publishers who 'feel sick', are depressed, or just want to stay at home and watch tv.. .

  In all the congregations I'm familiar with, the attendance is always higher than the number of publishers. Think about it. Husbands, children, extended family, bible studies, one-timers.

  Do other religions use the name Jehovah?

  when people hear the name jehovah, they automatically think jehovah witnesses.

  i know that in old catholic bibles, the word jehovah might be found or jahweh.

  is it the jw's who came out with that name first or did other religions use it before the jw's?

  I've read the name Jehovah in Catholic bibles myself. If you tune to a Relgion TV station you will hear the name Jehovah once in a while. At least this is the case in L.A.
