  i am studying with the witnesess for over a yr now & finally today finished the knowledge book.

  i came from a baptist church & since studying with this congregation have grown to appreciate them.

  though i donot feel the need ot have the wt at the meetings i understand why the congregation uses them.

  You will not read many positive things there because most people have dedicated themselves to bash them. This is not the place to be if thats the case.

  But I will tell you that studying with the Witnesses was for the better.

  how much harm did you cause to the people in your congregation?

  everybody complains how the witnesses did this and that and in the process caused so much harm.

  but what you don't say is how much pain you caused others while you were in.

  In defense of Bill Bowen and Silent Lambs

  after reading some of the comments against silent lambs, i thought i would respond back with my own topic.

  anyway, i have met bill bowen in person at the silent lambs summit in nashville back in march.

  i did not feel that he was arrogant in anyway or egotistical.he seemed to conduct that summit in a very professional way and really put together a good program.

  the thing is though, bill isnt trying to get people out of the org, he's trying to change their child abuse policy

  SMG. I can honestly say I haven't hurt anybody. Really. I cannot think who i could possibly have hurted. I've never been mean to anybody in the congregation, or out of it.

  I haven't caused any harm to anybody, not like some of you had the heart to.

  Jehovah's Christian Witnesses??

  when i was a kid and on vacation in florida about 20 years ago, my dad had mentioned about an "apostate group" in florida and that it was called "jehovah's christian witnesses" supposedly they even had their own kingdom halls, how many others here are aware of this group and do they even exist still?

  They are known as "Jehovah's Christain Witnesses" in some countries, not just as "JWs"
