Just received Crisis of Conscience!!
by acsot ini've already exited the jws in mind and heart, and have read many comments from everyone about the book, so didn't really see the need to buy it for myself.
however, after reading something here on the forum, i decided to order it (and the tao of pooh and siddhartha.
) a super-dub sits two desks away from (she and her husband knew ray and his wife, had tea with them in their room when he was on the gb, etc.

125,725 JW Publishers are MISSING !!!

the watchtower society makes it appear that they grew 2.2% (which is lower than some of their earlier percentages) ... but the way they present the data, does not reveal the truth.

You need to calculate better. All of the 125,000 'lost' publishers have not left the religoin. There are some who are dead (1%), But what you have not counted was the inactive and irregular activity. You can't possible say that 1/4 of the newly baptized have left. You should come with the percentage by the total number of publishers.

Do you think we're just doing what the JWs expect by being here?

i love reading on here, lurking if you will (i am a woman of very few words) but you know, i still remember what those anal warts (elders) would say at meetings about "apostates" etc.
do you think we're just playing the part because we left the org, i mean, do you get what i'm saying?

by wilton inim am a 19 year old male who is thinking of leaving christianity for another religion.
i am looking at jw first and before i really start studying it i want to know how the religion works on homosexuality because i have a boyfriend and dont want to leave him.and would i be able to go date and have sex with someone not in the religion.. thank you .

Wilton. First, I want to point out that many on here are JW-haters and it will be best for you to seek those answers straight form JWs themselves. Jehovah's Witnesses is a Christian religion, who make clear that homosexuality is wrong. But they also believe that gay men and woman can be happy without engaging in homosexual acts. JWs believe that in the near future Christ will transform this Earth finally into Paradise where it will be free of evil and only Jehovah's worshippers will be there. Among its members, theres also gay people.

Baptisms at the Sydney International Convention.
by BLISSISIGNORANCE inok......................60,000 attended the convention at the olympic stadium and all the news reports here in oz say there were 500 baptised.
images on the news showing young and old getting dunked gave me the horrors.
i just couldn't help but wonder how many pedophiles and sexual abuse victims were there pretending to be righteouss and happy.

Let's not forget that not all of those 60,000 are Witnesses and that 10,000 of them are delegates from other countries. So more than 1% of the Witnesses there are new ones.
