Ok, I repent in dust and ashes. W <going out for a butt>
I just saw a really nice butt I wouldn't mind going for..... Last month I didn't have access to the Internet for 2 days. Now THAT was withdrawl!!!
Lived in the Newburyport/Amesbury area a long time ago.
My (non-JW) family still live in that area just south of the NH border. Still remember quite a few of the JW's from the area.
I visit that part of the country at least two times per year. I love it there. Being 10 minutes from the ocean doesn't hurt either. Though the 3' of snow you guys got in December wasn't fun. I spent the first three days during my Christmas visit home, shovelling off the roof and scraping the 3" off ice off the shingles.
mincan has relatives visiting this week-end.
he is happy to see them but knows the problems associated with their visit will be hard to deal with.
you see, these relatives don't understand how difficult it is to come out of the cult and move on.
Sounds like it was a good day. Sometime our fears are so much worse than the reality of a situation. I am thrilled it worked out as well as it did.
You're a great kid and on the right track my friend. Keep on .. keeping on!
okay, this is the latest crazy email that i've gotten from my sister who is a happy drone within the borg.
i'm trying to imagine mayor bloomberg picking up the tab for the clock on the building .
hi guys here is a story told at the annual meeting!
While I was still active and serving at Bethel, I was seconded to Crooklyn for three months from Canada. One Saturday afternoon I took the Staten Island Ferry (cheapest tourist thing to do) and I overhead some people.
It was a simple conversation, 'Does anyone know what time it is?' The people all fumbled to see if they had a watch on, but some kid said, "Well Watchtower time is 4:45 (or whatever it was)"
"Watchtower time?"
"I think that is the American version of Bulova watches."
Not one person mentioned it was Jehovah's Witnesses or anything religious at all. So yeah what a huge fine outstanding witness that clock is on the walls of the publishing company. Awesome indeed. Though the clock has a better record for accuracy than does the Watchtower itself.

i just got an email from a still active witness friend of mine and in it she says that they no longer use the word disfellowshipped.
they announce that so and so is "no longer " one of jehovah''s witnesses.
is this true?
It is the same reason why the Borg does most things... power and legal ass protection.
They do still use the term disfellowshipping but not in the announcement. So whether someone just walks away or committed a 'gross sin' it is the same announcement. That takes the power away from the individual who is leaving and feeds into the concept that leaving the Borg is akin to sleeping with Satan and his hordes.
very nasty relationship, for 8 years.
about 14 days ago, i was finally able to find place to live with my dear pup:).
today i went to get my last load from the house,,,,,he was gone,,,,,but what do i find on his dresser???
I am failing to understand the negativity towards Wendy on this. She was wronged and then when she took positive steps to end things, she received another slap in the face by her ex.
Opening and throwing around the condoms is mild compared to what she could have done in retaliation (destroyed furniture, possessions, etc)
Sorry that he managed to 'hit you again' Wendy and am thrilled you have taken steps to move forward and end the abuse. That took courage and huge intestinal fortitude! Be proud of your strength.
I am also sorry you have received the type of response here that you did.

for you apostate warriers, old and new, take this to heart.
if you are like me, you get discouraged from time to time what with all the noise and fluff floating around.
i can't count the number of times i've asked myself "is this worth the effort?".
It's hard to believe those days of H20 started for me over 11 years ago when I tentatively posted as "J" and was still attending meetings hoping I was wrong about my doubts and personal research. What an education along the way!
Today, I also feel like I am the old fart sitting on his porch in his rocking chair yelling at the neighbourhood kids "Git off my lawn' only to realize I actually enjoy the youthful laughter and fun. Ten years ago it seemed there was the need to expose and stab at the underbelly of the BORG and we did, through H20 and other boards and the phenomenal research of many including Farkel (also known for his sharp tongue/wit), Alan, Kent, Norm and so many others.
But what to do with the old knights once all the dragons have been slain? T'is the time for healing, strengthening, hand holding. Skills not suited to warriors. So today we laud the warriors and loathe them simultaneously. The BORG is destined now for mockery rather than to be feared as it was in past legend. Posters today mock the wounds exposed by the warriors, revel in the tales of the battle and swear to never let people forget the weaknesses of the dragon. The warriors and the tools/weapons used to defeat the feared beast gradually forgotten except in legend and story. Villagers preferring to move on rebuilding lives and recounting the tales and welcoming/supporting newcomers who still live in fear of the dragon.
I miss the battles of old but respect the patience and qualities of those now doing the healing and comforting. Miss ya Doug and thank you and all the old warriors for the battles you fought for your own freedom and for the education of others.
