Well God called the Nation of Isreal a stiff necked people... yet another parallel fulfillment perhaps?

Running Man:
I am curious as to what convention this was mentioned? Were they referring to the Fifth Estate Program having that kind of impact? I am jsut curious if you have heard any other feedback at all about the show.
Most of my JW contacts have dried up of late so I don't get to hear the rumblings like I used to and am curious what is being said about Mike Moss' situation and also if anything has been circulated about that former Bethel Insider or if anything has been announced about him.
Thanks

I understand your former bookstudy conductor is going to attend this one but he is not signed up with the meet up site. So you have your fifth. You don't need some website to say it is okay to meet up!!

Waiting:
Just curious. You once were well known for how you always had an incredible quote to add in your posts, sometimes several all relevant to the topic.
Reading your posts over the past several months, your posts are now becoming known for another 'trademark.' They (with rare exception) all now can be found to be taking a shot at the male species either as an over-riding theme of the post or in some kind of jab that at times is completely irrelevant to the point of the thread (unlike this one where it is very much on point imo).
Have you noticed this about yourself? I am not saying you are wrong, my gender has really screwed things up and has often clung desperately to hold onto a Patriarchal society it just seems to be an overwhelming theme of yours of late.
I guess I just miss your quotes and don't like being nervous to read your posts knowing I will likely be reading another shot at the male gender.

Actually they are quite correct in that according to the Bible, apostacy is more dire than child abuse.
Apostates are scum. God's chosen people such as faithful Lot received jehovah's favor. He offered his daughters to the mob remember? Or maybe someone who was blessed even after he slept with his daughters, but he was drunk so that made it okay.
According to the Old Testament, children were viewed slightly higher than cattle. Woman were view much the same. This is why Jesus sitting with the Samarritan woman at the well and his welcoming the children to him (scolding his apostles for keeping them away) caused such a stir.
The Bible is full of stories of people apparently blessed by god that cared little for their children. Should it surprise us that a modern day religion that takes the bible so literally also doesn't really care for children either? Why else would it be possible for a parent to disown their child simply for a religious choice?
I would rather be an apostate that truly loves his kids, than to be a faithful Bible follower that would be able to turn my back on my children or be part of an organization that silently shields pedophiles in it's midst even if they are (or pretend to be) sorry about raping a child.

jehovah's witnesses asking woman to pay legal costs in sexual abuse lawsuit.
toronto (cp) - a woman who received $5,000 in damages after accusing the canadian wing of the jehovah's witnesses of negligence over their handling of allegations of sexual abuse is being asked to pay for part of the religious group's legal costs in the case.

Like it or not there are Rules of Procedure for the courts. Outside parties or the parties themselves trying to lobby a judge by submitting items directly to the judge is considered inappropriate and the party to whom the lobbying is slanted often has ben censored by the courts for trying to 'slip things in the back door' that they couldn't (or didn't) using the appropriate means.
Even if she accepted the Flock Book, legally she could not include anything contained therein in Vicki's case. If she did it would give the Watchtower proper grounds to appeal. An appeal is not (according to outside legal opinion) a wise option for any of the parties involved.
At worst, it could piss off the judge and she would rule completely in favour of the Society's motion currently before her.

sf:
My only question to you before you 'execute your plan', are you prepared to be personally responsible for the potential fall out against Vicki if your plan muddles things up and ends up pissing off the judge?
Before letting your dogs loose Skallywagger, at least get Vicki's permission before you do anything to

I am so angry I am sick to my stomach!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
by Ravyn ini just had a jw come to my door and i had to threaten her to get her to leave!
i told the woman right off i was 'apostate' and had no intention of changing it.
she kept asking me personal questions which i told her were none of her business and she said she would have the elders come by and i told her that if they came by the better be wearing bullet proof vests!

Jehovah's Witnesses have won in having charges laid against home owners (in some cases with hefty fines as well as criminal record in some cases) for the following actions:
Uttering threats of bodily harm
Utter threats of death
Displaying a firearm in a menacing way
for discharging a firearm (even over the heads of Witnesses)
Displaying a mock/model gun in a menacing manner
Taking a water hose to them
Turning on sprinkler systems with the intent of soaking the JW's
Throwing plate of food at them
Dumping boiling water/soup/spaghetti sauce from above the door way
Physical assault (i.e punching, slapping, hitting with a shoe)
Each time one of these charges are laid against the home owners the JW's will get more cocky and full of htemselves for it poroves Jehovah is with them. All it proves is that the home owner were pushed and pushed and stupidly pushed back in an illegal fashion.
Responding in the above illegal manners accomplishes NOTHING but does play into their hands.
