worldlies at the KH?

has anyone here ever brought a never a jw spouse or significant other to a kh function like a wedding, funeral, or even a meeting?

how did they react?

or have you ever had your spouse or significant other express concern that you might rejoin the borg after going back to the kh for a family event?.

I attended a "get together" at a Bo's apartment, and they were doing "witness karaoke". That is, singing kingdom melodies to the orchestral soundtrack. We were each handed song books and instructed to pick out a song to sing, Well, this one weird sister was singing "Life without end at last" and when she got to the part "you too can have a part......." she was literally singing in this invited bible study's face. The bible study looked very scared, and her fear was compounded when the weird sister started pointing directly at her everytime the word "you" was sung. The 'study" needless to say did not get up and sing, despite the encouragement of the weird sister. By the way, I did'nt sing either. The "study" was never heard from again.

I had heard that Jehovah was the one who actually write's the Watchtower, and the Governing Body merely transcribes what He dictates to them. But since the GB have given up the "mundane" responsibilities of transcribing to the other sheep class, that means the GB are actually the editors now, which means Jehovah has to give them a rough draft for approval before anything get's printed. I wish you people would get it straight.....GEEEEEZ.

How many want out?

how many jws are there currently in the wt who want out but are held back by things they feel they can't control?

i hear posters say that if they're still jws then they must believe it.

what about the people whose whole family are jws and don't have any outside friends to turn to or for whatever reason are relying on their jw family for financial help and know that if they expressed doubts they would be cut off no questions asked.

I'm sure you will enjoy the part when the "speaker" talks about how a woman should honor her husband, conduct herself as a "lesser one" etc. And then comes the obligatory part when the speaker turns to the husband and says "Don't think you're going to get off that easy"...And the crowd let's out the obligatory muffled chuckles..HAHAHAHAHAHAHHA that's so freaking funny Mr. Speaker, it's only the 1,000th time I've heard the same lame old joke. Anyway, congratulations.

there were sayings used over and over again to control my behaviour.

the biblical on bad associations spoil useful habits and another on just because everyone else does it doesnt mean you have to do it to, would you jump off a cliff just because other people do what were the sayings that bugged you?
