Very interesting.
There is a true relief in telling the truth, admitting you did wrong, asking for forgiveness and being free to move forward. Yes, there are still reprocussions, but it opens the door.
far too many times i have heard the accusation that all x-jws want to do is tear down the wts.
we scrounge around digging up every piece of information that we can that will put the wts in a bad light.
"they" being those who seek to defend the wts and forget the past because ... well it is the past and there is so much "new light".
Very interesting.

i have the full complement of body parts and organs including my tonsils, appendix, foreskin and 32 teeth.. is anybody else as complete as me?
any funny stories on missing body parts?
exploding appendix, foreskin stuck in a zipper etc.....
My mouth was too smal so I had to have 8 healthy teeth removed and braces.
Also I had a really cool horseback riding accident in a race with a motorcycle. I won the race, but at the finish line my horse slid, my pulling so hard on the reins, and I slid off. She, the horse, stepped on my arm and broke it. I knew I would be in big trouble. I was told by my elder dad not to race the motor bikes. So I didn't say a word for two weeks. I was busted one Thursday evening, getting ready for the meeting, because I couldn't lift my arm to put my dress on. This one dress had tight sleeves. The doctor questioned my parents in regard to child abuse, but it was not the case at all. I was trying to avoid a paddling.
Guess that resetting of the bone, two weeks later, was the better alternative to a paddling?
we're all familiar with the bombshelter in san diego known as "beth shan," but did you know the original intent of the watchtower property in south lansing, ny?.
(bolds are mine).
endurance by faith in jehovah.
In 1974, my parents moved to a small town in the mountains of middle TN and had a bomb shelter in the yard.
This was a giant hole in the ground where my dad drove a unrepairable VW bug into the hole. The plan was to get in the car and pull covering over us while the Nazi's or whoever came to get us as Armageddon was coming in 1975.
The pioneer brother who sold his old VW to my dad said his car was litterally driven into the ground.
I used to go in there and play as a kid.
interesting article from today's national post:.

We don't actually own a dinner table.
I work 2nd shift so dinner, no joke is served at 1a.m. My daughter is asleep then, but my husband and I eat together, with no TV.
My daughter Cassie and I eat lunch together, when school is out as I go in at 3:30p.m.
Eating together is and has always been a venew for discussion.
As a witness, we always ate together as a family and almost always did a big Sunday afternoon dinner. As I write this, I wish for more of that......
favorite snack.
just to lighten up the mood.
ill go first.
I run 35 miles a week.
What is a snack?
It that like an energy gel that you take after running 9 miles?
a few of you may remember my post concerning the assembly day, and how i wanted to get out of it in some way.
this post catalogues the events after that day a day which has changed my life.
i managed to get out of going to the assembly, using an excuse about my stomach, and the complications which follow.
I wish the best for you. We all sympathise and can relate. I will pray for you to have strength and endurance.
Do the right thing for your conscience and yourself.
what would your views be on mormons?.
was there much incidences where jw's and mormons would ever catch eachother while going door-to-door?.
just curious cause both of you do it and wondered if there was ever any conflict between the two..... evanescence
My 16 year old mother gave me up for adoption, forced choice like we all can relate to.
I was adopted and raised as a Jehovah's Witness.
I spent many years searching for, and found my mother again at age 27. She wanted me to find her and we maintain a relationship now
She joined the Mormon Church.
In the interest of science only, how interesting is it that I was Jehovah's Witness and she was Mormon?
Something to think about isn't it?
the listener said on an earlier postyou've been out for awhile, perhaps your insight will help some of us who are still in the exiting process.
which was a lovely thing to say, and made me feel 'valued' (thanks listener!).
but, you know, 14 years on, and there are times, when i feel like i just left.. i took the children to the pictures yesterday (to see 'wallace & grommit').
You are on the road to recovery with your comment that you still give her power.
I agree with Blondie's advise, say "Hi". That is what I do. I have nothing to hide. I know who I am.
But I sympathize too. You are making the right choices by reaching out to posting sites like this one and not backing down from seeing the movie you wanted to see.
I am proud of you!
i can't help thinking that if i had never gotten baptized out of loyalty and fear of disappointing my parents (and fear of having my flesh eaten by birds of prey after being destroyed in armageddon), i would not be in this situation.
i have several family members and former friends who were raised as jws, but never got baptized, and they never have to experience the angst and pain that i have to experience.
i was baptized and never dedicated my life.
I am happy I am baptised as I made a dedication to the true God in my heart and soul, not to the organization. I still feel a loyalty to my promises to God.
i have never done a 60 month loan and i have sworn i never would... but with how much cars are costing these days i'm wondering if i will have to do a 60 month loan on my next car.
that is five frigg'in years!
i paid cash for my last car ($4,500 - 1999 ford contour se, used) so i had no payments to make.
I should get paid by Saturn for this post.
I have an 11 year old Saturn, that I love!!!!!
It was financed with a 60 month loan and has been payment free for that last 6 years. I highly recommended Saturns. They are almost impossible to get used, so buy off the lot. They last forever!!!
When it comes time, I will certainly buy another Saturn.
