  Who hates smoking and pets?

  i really do hate smoking odors.

  i do not really hate pets but i am allergic to them.

  I own a housecleaning service. If the household has smokers and pets we charge a little more.

  I do not smoke, never have. But I do like pets. However, they require additional work to keep the home clean.

  What did 539 AD mean to Russell?

  i've been writing down russell's chronology (no, i don't believe a word of it).

  he had 539 ad to 1799 ad as 1,260 "days.

  " 1799 ad (the pope had to go to napolean; the ability for the papacy to persecute was waning) to 1914 ad was the end times period.

  The 1260 days is from Daniel 7:25 referring to time, times and a half time. The time is one year 360 days, the times is two years of 720 days and the half time is half a year or 180 days. This totals 1260 days. A Biblical month was 30 days.

  i have a big race tomorrow.

  i am running in the knoxville half-marathon tomorrow morning.

  Well, I didn't make my goal but I did the best race I had in me for today.

  I had double phuemonia two weeks ago and am still coughing. I have the stress issues with my daughter. And the course has 50 hills with and overall 2% grade. It is an uphill marathon.

  I finished in 3:07. But I thought about you folks and tried to push to have the best time I could.

  As a side note, I passed out right after I crossed the finish line and was dragged to the med tent. I am fine but I struggled physically with this half marathon. I think I may have been dehydrayed from the meds from the phuemonia.

  And in case you are asking, yes, I should have dropped put of the race entirely but I am a tough M*^%#$ F*#$)#!!!

  I have a big race tomorrow. I am running in the Knoxville half-marathon tomorrow morning. I have trained hard for this. My fastest half marathon was 3:05. I hope to beat this time. I really hope I will finish in 2:59. I have lost 32 lbs and have been training at a 12:30 pace on long distances. The Knoxville marathon is extremely hilly. If you look at the overall grade the whole thing is uphill.

  As I posted before, I have had a terrible loss with my daughter leaving to live with her Dad. I must put this behind me to focus on my goals tomorrow. I feel strong and should, be able to accomplish this goal but if you kind folks would send well wishes my way maybe this would push me a little faster.

  Broken Heart

  my almost 17 year old daughter left to stay with her dad last thursday.

  this is the second time she has left due to my strict rules, like 10p school day curfue, get to school on time, keep your grades above a c. she has not kept to my rules, so as a consequence i told her this last wednesday night she has lost driving priviledges of the car i gave her on her 16th birthday.

  she said she was leaving to live with her dad.

  The daughter has not attended a day of school since she stormed out on 3-15.

  I called the school today to let them know she is staying with her Dad.

  I have spoken to an attorney and he advises I assign custody to the ex. I know him. He will not accept this responibility. The other option is he pays up on all the back child support, which totals over $15,000. If he does not pay he will go to jail.

  If I do not make get the daughter back in school I will have to go to jail.

  Sounds like a standoff.

  This is a great forum for talking things out. Sounds like we both have had a tough weekend.

  I sincerely hope you can work things out. It sounds like it is completely possible. The tea total plan sounds best. When a person can not stop drinking when they start, it leads to bad, bad, bad problems. And he certainly would not be the first person to have trouble with moderation with alcohol. It seems we all know someone close to us who has their struggles with alcohol.

  but does anyone else remember the "demon scare" back in the 60s or 70s?

  the watchtower came out with articles about demon possession.

  Remember when "L" came down that one summer? I think it was 1979 or 1980. My mom wondered if it was wise for her to be buying used jeans as they could have been demonized.

  We didn't have any demon appearances, only a great summer. I can hear "Living in Blue Jeans" now thinking about that time. Gordon Lightfoot and John Denver all summer.

  You are the wisest person I know.

  As you know, our own family does not speak due to the DF thing. Our family is divided now due to what old men in Brooklyn direct. What foolishness! You are a huge asset and source of good sense. What a huge loss to those in the family who shun you.

  Instead, witnesses are directed to listen the wisdom from the faithful and discreet slave. The mis-application of scripture to prevent any corruption in the congregation by disfellowshipping individuals who question beliefs is very cold and unchristian.
