One of my first awakenings was trusting in human nature, it wasn't easy for quite some kind. One day it clicked the JW's belittle humanity. here I was staring down the barrel of a world full of humanity via charities and opinion of individuals. The world is full of contradictions but i believe from the bottom of my heart human nature cherishes peaceful outcomes for all. when I was in 'the truth' i ignored fireman rescuing people and strangers saving others life. Acts of unselfishness. It was a major moment of realising i had be disillusioned. As John Lennon said lets give peace a chance. Lets give humanity a chance with all our foibles as humans.

...drink a lot?

gosh i love wine.

i like a good bottle of wine each night, and i have a high tolerance to alcohol, though i never drank much (except for a couple of times with the vodka, but i don't keep that stuff in the house anymore, way too dangerous) as a jw because getting slightly happy is a 'sin'.

Julia, Your post has made me feel better. I too like to have a glass or two of red wine of an evening. Hey Fulltimestudent Ron Walters was an elder in the first congregation I was in. In fact his wife studied with me. sorry to go off topic Julia, He would have a glass or wine or two with his meals, although i got the impression he frowned upon heavy drinking as we had a brother who loved to watch the footy of a sunday and drink a six pack or two. He was never allowed to be an MS. Small world!!

Alone in a hospital bed for two months' a curiosity job'. death of a child. but the only encouragement i got was when are you coming back to the meetings. And dont take the blood!! the time alone gave me time to rediscover that i didnt have to cowtail to this mob and a husband who was ignorant of what i was going through. and a daughter lost separated from her mother left with a man who professed to be christian but in reality a liar and very cruel emotionally man to her.

I paid out on myself for five years knowing that i was damned no god to pray to daughter confused. the truth about the truth came to me in about 2002 when i discovered the internet. and typed in jehovahs witness's

Telling my wife that I would accept a blood transfusion

i am 33, married, from switzerland and i have a little baby boy.

i am still a jehovah's witness and i am still attending the meetings.

"In the last elders school, they told us to cooperate with doctors when a minor is involved and not insist on no blood transfusion (just tell them of our blood less wishes). If we would insist on no blood, this could lead to taking away the right to care for the child".

Sounds like the Society is covering their butt.

hello ,i am a jw,been in the "truth " for about 6 years.i have to be very careful because i know the witnesses monitors sites and report to the elders ,i know cause that is what my blood sister does,she spends hours trying to find apostates in the closet.i know stuped.. so this is my situation.i have known about jw almost all my life and heard that only them have the truth,lots of my family are in it.i was the one taking too long to baptize ,i knew it was expected from me.and i always had a need to make ppl like me .so i took the dip.i started to notice that there are lots of jws that belong to little groups.i wanted friendship so bad and at the time had a need o tell ppl about my horrible childhood traumas i guess i was not over it yet,and needed some to lisent since i had drove my spouse nuts already .what happend this ppl pretend to want to be close to me so they can know all my business and then tell everyone at the hall.then you realize uhhh,they never confided their personal stuff to me.is like a game " you can tell me your stuff,but do not expect me to keep it to myself and do not think i will tell you my dirty laundry.a lot of mind games.. so i was alone ,invisible ,i still can't believe i put up with so much !

i can't wright not even half of what i when through.i feel paranoic now.so i came across a youtube video by jwstruggle and blow my mind ,now i can't stop researching,my spouse is not a jw,and is very shock too.so i decided that i want to fade,i guess it won't be so hard since the sis and brothers did not had a close relationship with me.i have kids and i suffer from pts ,anxiety attacks,panick attacks and severe depression.i moved to the next town of my hall,so i have change hall too.i have not been to my new hall,and wanted to know,will the elders in my old hall contact the elders in my new hall just to see if i am attending?..

my spouse told me " i will tell them i am not letting you go" "and "i found out that your liars!

Now that I am out, which bible should i read? Feeling free at last!

so, now that i am out for good, which bible should i read?

there is no way i will read the wt one..so i still want to have a relationship with god but don't know how to choose a bible.

it is very hard to dewired yourself and ,sometimes i feel that i don't have a relationship with him.the what ifs come and go still.last night i was up all night reading and researching , can't shake off the shock still to know ttatt.

The last two thursdays i have noticed witness's setting up a really professional merchandice stand in my suburbs' main street.... the first time there was only one 'brother', he had set up brochures on display etc.. plus big laminated poster of 'Paradise Earth' I actually stopped looked from a few feet and he didnt even approach me.

There I was someone seeking the truth!

Anyways this morning (australia thursday) there were two.

My thoughts were to approach them and ask about new light. i was going to say my sister is one of your mob. (realistically I didnt want to and didnt have a good question for them because i was still a little foggy about the new light)

Room 215 you have given me the answer to my question how do I " ask about the changes within the JW's doctrine !!!!"i am no longer without knowing certain facts (the a b c according to the Wtf BTS) perhaps i can prompt some sort of cog dis within them kindly.

I am going to be a lost sheep next Thursday

PS: i thought about the time they could report, they were there at 7.30 am Only jehobah knows when they closed up shop!!!

last friday i got a message on my classmates account from alice, a jw girl i hadn't seen in over 40 years.

i checked her profile and in her current photo she is wearing a native american necklace and earrings with tribal or religious symbols.

I am surprised you got to marry a non JW.

Perhaps "the writing was on the wall" when you married .lol Did you believe you could of slipped through the net by marrying a non witness.

The JW's do not have any control over your life nor are they entitled to. They are a cult. Its not hard to rewire your brain back to independent thinking. Stick close to your wife and children. Just don't go to meetings... research, ask yourself and as they say fade!.

BTW it can take up to only 3 weeks to rewire the brain.
