  HELP!! Ladies, Dress me for L.A. Please Help

  my wife and i are being sent (all expense paid) to beverly hills , on the 28th of this month, to participate in the lifetime television network for women, breast cancer awareness thingie.

  four days and nights of social functions, and dinners, and a concert.... formal and dress attire.

  please help, we will be staying at the regent beverly wilshire hotel, beverly hills (where the movie "pretty woman" was filmed) the concierge will be dressed better than i am, if you don't help me.. i am an artist, living in georgia... i know blue jeans and t-shirts... any suggestions????????

  How about a suit jacket without tie,casual shirt and casual pants or skirt if you prefer.In LA . anything goes. Have a safe trip and congradulations.Don't get all stuck up now because you know we on this board will deflate you'r big head. Your friend Kathy

  in the united states i keep hearing about how nobody sees the witness is going door-to-door and more, or at least not as often as they used to.

  i also heard a report from england recently which stated to the same effect.. what do you think?

  do you think the internet is the watchtower society's worst nightmare?.

  No matter how the wt. comes down i don't care as long as it does.I wonder how (if and when it does fall) will all those people who let there loved ones die because of no blood transfusion?How can anyone live with that.Jws open you're eyes to what you are seeing and hearing.If one so called apostate is right ,doesn't that say something to you?   do you think a really big threat to the wtbts is from people like me who are still witnesses and in the organization but also post on this board and have an open mind -- or do you think there are bigger threats -and if so what would they be?

  Loosing money.They have many investments and own valuable properties.Their attorneys are always in court for the right to go door to door without having to pay $100. for a permit.Money is power ,take that away and you have weak little men in their tower .

  on a site i said the following....... "just say that they asked you to do something that you know if you did it there was a very likelyhood that you would die for doing it......and they said that it came from god....would you do it" and someone replied ......".you mean like a blood transfusion?

  "that person also said that the elders reckon that all that stuff about abuse is a lie now i dont know what to say!

  any ideas how i could answere that?

  I would reply;all the priests that are being convicted of molestings are false to .It just astounds me how jws are ready to convict any other religion .I asked my jw husband about these molestings and he asked an elder about them.The elders reply;They are not truly one of Jehovah witnesses.I would also ask how they heard about the jw molestings? I am sure they will say the media not their own cult.Then i would ask ;what if these molestings come out to be true what would you think then?The mind of a jw is like swiss cheese. Kathy

  i just got a new bloodhound puppy.i have a bassethound who hates her but i am sure she will grow on him.does anyone have this breed?

  could anyone help me find a "daniel prophecy book" (in english) from the watch tower, published, i believe, in 1999. i would pay for it and postage and handling .

  also, how difficult is it to get the new wt cd rom ?.

  i live in wisconsin near milwaukee and it's harley-davidsons 100 b-day.the hogs are everywhere and lots of parties ,parades and celebs here.i have never seen so many bikes and people from all over the world, even japan.every town has something going on for this event.there are thousands and thousands of bikers and we are all enjoying the great people .happy b-day harley-davidson

  Need info. on rotater cuff surgery

  i have a rotater cuff tare and will need surgery.i can live with it (pain)or have it fixed.i am worried that it maybe stiff or i maybe worse off after the surgery.has anyone here had this surgery and how did it turn out.i am not getting it done till i know all the pros and cons.

  Thanks to all for your help.I guess i am dammed if i do and dammed if i don't.I can't live with the pain .It has been 3months since i tore the cuff ,lifting a shovel with gravel.I also have a large bone spur digging into the torn cuff.I probably will have surgery and thanks to you all i know what i am in for ,however it turns out. Thanks for your inputt Kathy

  I WANT REVENGE!!!!!

  well, it has finally happened.

  my jw husband came home last week and told me he is moving out.

  it seems he has been talking to the elders, and they feel his spirituality is being threatened (even though i have not insisted he stop going to meetings, i won't allow any jw material in my home because of my children from a previous marriage - i don't want them exposed to it.

  I am also married to a jw .It's bad enough they have love for their cult more then their own families but to say you are spiritually holding him back and want's a divorce is more then i could take.Jws are only out to save their own asses.They don't care who they hurt as long as they can live in their paradise with their own kind.If my jw husband said that to me ,i would do what ever it took to make him feel the same hurt as you are feeling.I really believe to get back at him would be to go after the org.No jw wants the org. to be hurt .One thought is to put an ad in your local paper so everyone knowes he wants to divorce you and why.I am so sorry and i hope you can find a bright spot in the end. Do what ever you have to do . Kathy
