Fortunately, here in Canada, we have maple syrup.....and trees don't have racist origins

We have black maple trees here in several States as you have in Quebec.
To be politically correct, we just refer to them as African-American maple.
we have to get rid of these racist relics.
i propose that we destroy all these bottles of syrups and burn every pancake box !
we need to get rid of anything that reminds us of anything negative concerning slavery.. in boston they decapitated the head of christopher columbus and got rid of his statue.

in minneapolis, the city council has voted to abolish the police.. many cities want to either disband or defund the police.
black lives matter and other groups have influenced citizens and neighborhoods to get rid of police and their authority.
is anyone really supportive of removing the police or cutting out law enforcement through the budget?
There are some good things I can think about having no police. You can drive as fast as you want , go through red lights, drink and drive, take drugs and drive .

What would be the negatives ???
i’ve heard from a few trump voters that they are getting tired of the whole trump thing.
one person yesterday said he lies.
another person said she hears from her clients in her business that the constant drama and push back from all sides against trump is fatiguing.. i remind people that before this worldwide pandemic, we had the best numbers in jobs.
Even if not leftover from thug Obama it's still a swamp of professional politicians.

Duuuuuhhhh
Yea. If you get into politics, expect there to be politicians there.
Go to a plumbers convention, there will be plumbers. If you expect to change the plumbers into electricians, good luck.

Maybe Black Lives Matter thanks that they will become a de facto police force.

I'm making preparations.
If I'm driving and get pulled over for making a wrong turn or something, I'll just scream out to the police "That Mo Fo cut in front of me."
I'm working on the various possibilities, permutations, phrases and voice intonations for various traffic patterns and offenses, especially around rush hour.

I don't understand this whole thing about abolishing the police. I really don't.
If someone is breaking into your house, stealing your car or something else, do you call 911 and order a pizza?
Or if there is a gang-fight and shots fired in the night would it be best to call a social worker and expect him/her to come with a notepad and give everyone a time out?
Maybe it's me. I just don't get it.

Everything is an extreme, with no in-between.

I agree. Over the last 20 years here, that has been the theme in this country.

I don't get it. Yes, he a Republican. But come on.
Am I expected to come in, have a couple of shots, a few beers and leave by noon? What time should I arrive, 9:30AM? Will a couple of hours make that much of a difference?
I would have expected maybe 2PM or 3PM but noon?
I think this COVID-19 thing has everyone messed up.

On another note, I see that Trump just signed an executive order for the people in California.
The San Andreas Fault will now be known as the Barack Obama Fault.

SO WHAT! Have you ever hired people and ran anything - sure.
LV101 ...
Yes, earlier in my career as an Operations Manager, before I did consulting, I hired, interviewed, or at least recommended at least 20 people over a 10 year span. They all were hired and most, not all as I recall two exceptions, but most worked out well. One was an IT guy who was great, IMO. But after lunch he often seemed a bit out of it for awhile. I thought maybe he had too much to drink at lunch.
Well, I found out later that he and his girlfriend he had met from another department asked me, after the three of us went out to lunch one day, "Rub a Dub, do you want to do a line?" They did. I watched.
We all make mistakes hiring. But if I had the turnover ratio of our great leader, the Human Resources Department would never have gotten me involved in the process.
