  I think that is likely what happened in the situation I described earlier here. The person did not appeal but after a short time (perhaps a few weeks) presented proof that he was not even in town at the the time the elders thought they saw him alone with a woman in her house. They called his relatives in another state to confirm that he was visiting and he provided receipts of his travel.

  It all got somehow "rescinded."

  In all my years as a JW, I have heard of this happening twice.

  In the one case I am aware of, the person really didn't care and was a PIMO. Apparently someone who looked like him was spotted by a JW going into a single woman's house at night and told the elders. The elders did the spying stake-out thing and waited in their car and "saw" him go into the house at night. When asked by the elders, he denied it. He was DF'd and did not appeal.

  After the fact, and the reality of what was happening with his family, he presented evidence that he was not even in town the night that the elders claim they saw him. He showed evidence that he was traveling to see relatives/vacation in another state. The elders called and confirmed his side of the story. He also had a couple of receipts from things he had purchased hundreds of miles away that weekend when the elders said they saw him near his home.

  In the end, an announcement was made something to the effect that the he was no longer disfellowshipped and that any congregation action against him had be rescinded.

  He was not in my congregation but in the next town over and it was quite the news for several weeks.

  There is the expression in English, "Birds of a feather flock together."

  Clinton (Bill), Trump, Prince Andrew, etc. seemed to be "friends" with this guy.

  No one can tell me that being that close to someone, staying at his place, his island, his jet, etc. can say with a straight face that you know nothing about what is going on.

  It would be like being around El Chapo and saying you had no idea he was in the drug business.

  last evening (15 nov 2019) at a high school football game in new jersey, another shooting.

  "fortunately," the injuries are apparently not life threatening.. that's at least the second shooting this week.

  if all the students were armed, they could have just shot the guy.. we need more guns, not less.

  Rogue Muslims are terrorists, yes. Rouge Americans are terrorists yes.

  In all of these school / mall / dance club / public shootings, I don't recall them being Muslims.

  Granted, the 9/11 Muslims were mostly Saudis (whom American politicians continue to kiss their butts because of cheap oil).

  Actually, there is far more Muslim on Muslim terrorism than anything close to that on Americans or Europeans.

  This makes no sense to me.

  If you purchase off-road fuel, how does the State expect you to get it into the vehicles. The law as written makes no sense to me. So you can buy the fuel but can't use a nozzle to dispense it? Do you pour it into 5 gallon cans and then pour it in? I still don't get it.

  How would a boat at a marina get the off-road diesel into the tank without a nozzle?

  Imagine what the death toll of the bystanders would have been if a school full of armed teens all began shooting as soon as they heard the gunshot?

  at least at the moment it looks like no one is dead, but 6 injured (9:00 am pacific time 14 nov 2019).. i don't know if the school allows students to carry weapons, but many will think it would be a good idea for the students to carry concealed weapons to provide personal protection.. we shall see.. rub a dub.

  Excellent questions. How does the environment change so much when I drive across the border to Canada? Don't Canadians have access to violent video games, on-line porn, bullying or whatever else people say is ruining the society? The last I looked, Germany, England, Norway you mentioned and other countries in Europe have the same access to these things also.
