I like all the "fluff" stuff ... but when it comes to doctrines and teachings that make no sense (holidays, cross, birthdays, blood, etc.) my mind goes into the Alt-Ctrl-Del mode.
By the time it reboots, they are giving the closing prayer.

How Much of the WT Teaching Did You Believe?
by Ding insome people on this forum have said that they never really believed any aspect of wt teaching, that they couldn't wait to get free of it all.. others seems to have been really gung ho, believing it all until something happened that got you questioning "the truth.".
i would say my own high water mark was about 50%, which put me squarely on the fence, trying to decide if i should be in or out.. how about you?.

Not sure if this is on topic or not, but since Amazon bought Whole Foods, we have been shopping there a lot. Whole Foods used to be called "Whole Wallet" by some due to the high prices. But they have generally come down considerably over the past year or two.
While some things we still buy at our standard supermarket, we find Whole Foods really good for vegetables, seafood and spices. You just have to have the Amazon app on your phone and they scan it for the discounts. Sometimes the prices are even lower than the standard supermarkets on some items.
Really good whole fresh fish and seafood. We've been eating this fish from Greece, bronzino a lot lately. Similar to sea bass but tastier. I just season it inside, fill the insides with some fresh stuff from the garden like basil and cilantro and then put some lemon slices in it. I put it on a hot grill (oil it first so the fish doesn't stick) for about 3 minutes per side. That, some couscous, a greek salad, and a glass or three of chardonnay makes you feel like you are on the Mediterranean.

y'know, when you hear a song that profoundly effects you in some difficult-to-describe way and the hairs on your arm stand on end even though the room temperature's comfortably warm.. so, which songs give you goosebumps?.

In an earlier post, I said we have three of the most recent presidents, of three different races, who sent the troops to the middle east (Bush:White, Obama: Black, Trump: Orange).
I'm sure the majority of those soldiers wanted no part of it but that is what can happen when you are in the military. You obey orders. There is absolutely no disrespect to those men and women, some of whom sadly returned to the US in a box or missing body parts.

Another theory is that the fruit on the Tree of Knowledge was actually poisonous.
Adam and Eve ate the fruit and the snake (Satan) was laughing his butt off knowing that it would give them the shits.
Adam and Eve spent the next few days having the squirts all over the Garden and God became angry that they were stinking up the place since they had not yet installed the indoor plumbing in their new house.
They kept plenty of leaves around since they did not know where to buy toilet paper.
Anyway, they were cast out and the rest is history.
