King of the North and South ... Wicked Witch of the East and West ....
Life goes on.
it is a challenge next sunday for them .
due to starting the convention programme the wt study will be a 30 minute run through ,and deals with this prophecy ... i doubt the younger ones are familiar with it at all bur oldies could debate it at length .we on the look out for the king of the north to enter "the land of decoration" (more to follow,maybe next week).
this article makes a grand claim in par 2.
don't quote any scriptures during the watchtower study that are not in the paragraph.. don't quote the governing body or anything from the broadcast ever.
it might be true but it is not true truth if it is coming out of your mouth if you have been critical of the governing body.
especially so if your criticism is valid and you have dared to support you view with scriptures, most especially the words of jesus christ.. anyone know of other new tactics?.
to whack in legitimate scriptures and get the elders to quietly pass over what you just said as they hunt around for someone else who will give the right answer.
@Anna Marina ...
Wow, you gave me flashbacks from 40-50 years ago when my father was doing the WT study. We had a couple of brothers who would go off on a tangent (one was of the annointed) and sometimes give some "way-out" answers and opinions that were different from the "standard" answers.
He would say nothing, let them talk, just smile, and then pick on someone who he knew would give the "correct" answer.
i think this gal is incredible.

for those of us who could sit through the program so far, i did find it interesting that they are again asking for people to apply to bethel.. i happened to speak to a friend who called and asked him why they would do that.
his response was that, well, they need younger people there.. i guess once you are over 50 or something you are eligible to be sent out to pasture..

Make sure you take your temperature regularly.
@Anna Maria ...
I am finding it easier to remember to take my temperature using the anal thermometer hourly.
I am building an Excel spreadsheet and using the various charting features to analyze the results.
I am thinking about reducing it to 30 minute intervals for a more accurate analysis when viewing the trend of the slope.

this is not a jw-bashing thing, but it always seemed odd to me that the "excuse" when things go wrong is that "we have to wait and see how the prophesy is fulfilled" or some other wording.. my question has always been, then what is the purpose of the prophesy if you don't understand it until after the fact?
isn't that like having a weather forecast but being told that we don't really know what the weather will be until the next day?.
i'm sure some of the intelligent people here can guide me but in all honesty, i never understood that..

a new fox poll says biden is up by 12 percentage points.
of course, most other polls say trump will be trounced this time around.. do you think the polls might be right this time?
.
It must continue for 4 more years to continue the prophesy unless the end comes on 11/3
@Rattigan350 ...
If the end comes on 11/3, that's a Tuesday. That's the day for our early-week our trash pickup here where I live. The truck comes sometime between 10AM and noon.
Do you suggest I don't have to worry about putting out the trash that day?
what a weekend.
i have my normal medications to take; one white pill, one purple pill, one blue pill, one yellow pill ... you get the idea.. but having to watch the regional assembly on-line had me stressed.
i now realized i accidentally took too many of those big purple pills.
