  Dissing the JWs....

  i've been inactive for a few years now, and yet, despite all i read, i can't feel as you mostly all do.

  i have a lot of happy memories of being "in the truth" (and i know how much some here hate that line) and fond memories of the meetings and assemblies, sure it was much easier to break away and live life like i am now,..... but well, thats just how i feel.

  i can understand those that may leave for personal reasons, but not sure i'll ever understand some here who have such a hatred of anything jw related.

  i understand scooby's comments. I actually am a still active witness and will continue to be because I have so many friends and relatives I do not want to leave. My husband has turned me on to this sight and I have been enlightened in many ways. But I do not have the hate and contempt many have because I have not experienced what many have. i have been raised not to feel the guilt . i was always taught the blood of Christ covers our sins, elders are not policemen in our lives , and we do the best we can, and to NEVER be judgemental. Maybe I'm a rare jw but I don't let others control my life. I enjoy having religion in my life and haven't found another that interests me as the JW's do. I do feel for the hardships many have had and believe they did go through these things. I wish I could have been around to show them love. My love goes out to you. I sincerely mean this. Even though there may be some who will jump on me. that's OK =^..^=

  Famous personalities

  i have always been curious how famous people act in "real life.

  i just finished reading several posts about larry graham and prince, and how people perceived them before and after meeting them, and that led me to my question here.. i have a couple of close friends that are either in the entertainment industry or know those who are in, and i get to hear stories about these people, and i love hearing how kind a person really is that i have listened to their music or watched them on the screen.

  been disappointed by a few, but i suppose that is human nature.. so, what famous person have you met or know personally, and what were they like?

  i met the guitar player for Foreigner- can't remember his name- anyhoo he was checking into the same hotel as we were and looking for 10 rooms for the whole band. I was quite excited and he gave me his autograph and invited me to the concert. i was not able to attend-boo hoo- He also said he wished he could find a girl like me...thrilling ...i bet he says that to all the girls ha =^..^=
