This place..
by berylblue ini read a post the other day where someone mentioned not liking those who just whined and were obviously looking for hugs and attention.. i realize i do this.
it's because there are so many wonderful people here who care and understand.
in all the time i've been here, i've only gotten two kind of nasty replies to my posts.

BUT
it's because there are so many wonderful people here who care and understand. In all the time I've been here, I've only gotten two kind of nasty replies to my posts. On was only midly nasty, the other was from Sword Of Jah (no further explanation necessary).
If I whine (and I do), it's because I've no where else to go. More important, it's because I feel at home here.
Thank you everyone. I'll try to keep the moaning down.

I just noticed something
by berylblue in"they will put you out of the synagogues, yes, the time is coming that whoever kills you will think that he offers god service.
and these things they will do to you because they have not known the father nor me.
hmmmm...the wts always said this applied to jws leaving say, the catholic church for the truth.

Jesus mentioned synogogues. That was the place of "true worship of Jehovah" in Jesus' time. Jesus was talking to his followers. They would truly love him, and want to worship his father, but because they did not follow the "synogogue" rules, they would be thrown out and even killed. I would imagine he mentioned this because he knew it would happen in the distant future as well.
Allegedly, the WTS is the modern day place of Jehovah's worship. The way I read this now is that that we could expect modern day leaders in God's church to expel persons from the modern day "synogogue" because they felt such ones were evil because they were not following the rules. WTS is the one throwing persons out, and I think the "apostates", the ones who truly love God but cannot go along with the WTS rules and errors, are the ones being thrown out and killed.
Now, keep in mind that my brain is gone due to the benzo withdrawal (great news, the doctor says maybe in 8 months or so I'll be better), so I'm really asking for help reasoning this out. Am I way off base? Am I making any sense at all? This kind of lept out at me...

Is There Something You Want To Get Off of Your Chest or Vent About???
by minimus inone of the great things that this board offers is the ability to express yourself.
sometimes, things we couldn't tell a person to their face, we can express here.
or we might be able to give of ourselves, our experiences, our joys and frustrations......you name it!.......regarding my vent, it is that i can't understand why some post on these boards and yet are very pro witness.

Question for SwordofJah
by happyout ingiven that your wts has frequently warned its members to stay away from the internet, and that bad association spoils useful habits, why is it that you persist in posting on this site, which is quite obviously populated by those that are disfelloshipped, disassociated, or, at the very least, spiritually weak?
if you lived near one of the more vocal posters would you willingly be seen by your body of elders having a conversation with them?
or, is it the ease of anonymity that allows you to be such a hypocrite and flaunt the rules of the organisation you pathetically claim to follow?

sword is a girl???
I got that distinct impression at some point, it seems. I can't put my finger on where, and I could be mistaken.Yes, I did too at one point, but subsequently read something which made me think SOJ is not a woman. It doesn't matter. I do respect her/ his opinions, although they sometimes hurt a lot. I don't even want to imagine what s/he'll make of that statement. Rosemarie

I don't need the Society to tell me that apostates are evil. I clearly see it on this forum
Sword of Jah,
Please. I have not seen one "evil" person on this board. I do see a lot of persons who have been through hell and are trying to make some sense of it, and seeking some comfort. JMHO, but that's what I see.
I wonder what Jehovah sees?

Remnants of JWism
by berylblue infor me, i don't have "remnants".
i am still, i realize, about 90 percent jw.. however, i'm curious as to what other still have "left" from the org...for example, i am still politically neutral for the most part, and would not support any war and would rather die than take up arms.
this may be mostly my own pre-jw personality, but at this point in time, its so difficult to know what i am, even who i am..... do any of you still have (or maybe cling to, which may be true in my case) jw beliefs or tendencies, or have you gotten rid of them all?

America have attacked and supported the attacks of Muslims for many years
I appreciated your post. I was not aware, though had my suspicions....
I do no support attacking anyone. And I'm appalled at the actions of my government at times....don't really know what else to say, or to do about it. Attending peace rallies before the war did nothing...
