if a brother of sister falls sick, loses a job, becomes invalid, will the jw organization show loyalty to that person and help out?

i've been smoking since i quit being a witness.

i smoked for a week when i was 15, i quit when i started studying.

my "smoking" then was only a few cigarettes, i was by no means addicted.

I don't bother justifying anything anymore. I do what I want to do, and reap the benefits/repurcussions. I no longer over-analyze anything.

There are no true chuches, but there are true liquor stores. I'm with you on that one. My truth comes out of a nice bottle of Merlot these days, and I've never been happier.

Which means trouble for you because most of the medical innovation in the U.S. happens in blue states, too. Oh yeah, another thing, don't plan on serving California wine at your state dinners. From now on it's imported French wine for you. Ouch, bet that hurts.

Just so we're clear, the country of California will be pro-choice and anti-war. Speaking of war, we're going to want all Blue States citizens back from Iraq. If you need people to fight, just ask your evangelicals.

They have tons of kids they're willing to send to their deaths for absolutely no purpose. And they don't care if you don't show pictures of their kids' caskets coming home.

Anyway, we wish you all the best in the next four years and we hope, really hope, you find those missing weapons of mass destruction. Seriously. Soon.

Mother in law told off for speaking to her daughter

my wife and i disassociated 3 months ago and my wifes mother is still a jw....but.....she still sees us regularly.

today, a 'clipboard' elder went down to see her.

he has been her book study overseer for a year and has never once gone to see her even though her husband is dying.

I personally do not understand why some leave the truth to believe in a God that tortures one forever in a hell, to believe that Jesus is God, etc

I have not left the "truth" to believe in that or any other bull. I've had enough bull from being both a Catholic and a JW to last me the rest of my life.

Consider me a very happy agnostic.
