(will nonmeeting attendance become a DFing offense?)
I always wondered if suicide was a disfellowshipping offense.

' you will usually get the following safe response:.
"it's not for us to judge who will be saved.
jehovah reads hearts and he will decide who is worthy of salvation.".

.
what keeps you going strong every day and helps you confront the hardships of life?
is there something that inspires you and makes you triumph the hardships of life?.
A nice Merlot.

i ask this question because we often hear about jw men (bros., elders, servants, co's etc.
) treating sisters as lower and weaker beings than themselves.. but i wonder if it's not just a male-dominant world problem.
i didn't grow up as a jw so every male i met for 30 years was not a jw.
Well you just need to take this lil missy home and beat her" ERRRRRRRRRR
That is absolutely not funny. Not in the least. As a comedian-wanna-be, as well as an aspiring human (I'll get there someday), I have found that there is at least a modicum of truth in what many pass off as "humorous" comments.

just want to say that, if you can, try to talk to witnesses when they come to your door....don't give up.. a man i met in field service last year actually listened to what i had to say when i came to his door.
what a sweet man!!!
he then stood there for a whole hour with me and my friend and we talked about truth.
I definately had none in the Borg.
Neither did I. Except for one whom I lost when I got DF.
But I can sense very strongly that had I known you, we would have been friends.
You are a beautiful person.
Glad you're here.

when i was replying to nicolas' question in another thread, i used the following scripture to show why jws are always so tired:"the scribes and the pharisees have seated themselves in the seat of moses.
therefore all the things they tell you, do and observe, but do not do according to their deeds, for they say but do not perform.
they bind up heavy loads and put them upon the shoulders of men, but they themselves are not willing to budge them with their finger.
Did anyone else ever notice that the more "spiritual" people wanted to appear, the bigger their briefcase was? Not just for field service, either
Uh oh. I guess all the signs of lack of spirituality were there with me right from the start. I never brought a book bag to the KH, and if I remembered my Bible and WT, it was a miracle. I never had what I was "supposed" to have with me. In service, I usually just had a bible and some magazines. And money for whomever drove that day. At least I was good that way.

as i wrote my last post about d. h. (the jw woman who was superficially shot by her abusive non-jw husband), it occured to me that the entire story sounded fabricated.
but it got me thinking...i wonder how many of our posts here are fabricated, exaggerated or embellished?
has anyone here actually been caught in an outright lie?
By the way, I am always very cautious when I see only one side of a personal dispute. There is always two sides to a story.
Not to disagree with you, just to add to your excellent observation. Someone pointed out something to me once, and I try to remember this when I hear any kind of gossip or personal horror story: There are actually three sides to every story: hers, his and the truth.

.
do you have an inner voice inside of you that opposes what you think about the jehovah witnesses?.
in other words, is there a part of you that will always be a jehovah witness, and a part of you that will always hate them?
In other words, is there a part of you that will always be a Jehovah Witness, and a part of you that will always hate them?
In a word, yes.

after reading the post on how to "treat your husband," i'd like to know if any men here actually feel this way about women.
everyone jokes around about male/female relationships, but how many really think women are inferior?
i know from some serious posts i've read here, that a few of the men must have really been hurt by someone.
Oh, and his name was Alan as well.

How m uch of all this do you all actually believe?
