Did You Know That You Could Be Disfellowshipped For French Kissing?
by minimus ina number of years ago, a body of elders discussed the matter of "french kissing".
they came to the conclusion that this practice of "french kissing" was a disfellowshipping offense on the grounds of "engaging in loose conduct".
one young couple were judicially reproved for their "sin" and the elders felt that since the matter was not widely known, that they would be "privately reproved".

This is how it was
by SheilaM inthe girl in the bubble
awkward as the winter tights my mother insisted i wear.
they were blue, or red or possibly green, always coordinated to my outfits.

Oh, gosh, Sheila, I'm speechless.
Have any of you ever read "If I Should Die Before I Wake"? Your style is somewhat similiar, and just as chilling. The book will make you literally sick, but it's worth it if anyone truly wants to understand what abuse does to innocent children.

Did You Put Off Saving For Retirement?
by Shakita ini didn't think that i would ever retire in this system of things.
i felt that long before retirement age the new system would be here and i would have no money worries.
as the years rolled by and i didn't have any thing saved for retirement, i became more and more anxious.

Hey, I got into trouble once because I was the only person in the congregation who went to an elderly sister's funeral, because I had to take the bus and was five minutes late. How the elders knew this, I don't know, since I was the only JW there....

How Many Here Are DF'd, Disassociated Or Not Worried That They Might?
by minimus ini'm curious as to whether the majority of the board's disfellowshipped.
and i'm curious as to whether or not push came to shove, that you would not be overly distressed if you did wind up getting df'd........as time goes on, i am caring less.

For those without mothers
by Lady Lee inmothers day can bring up many issues for some of us.
for some their mothers have passed away and the opportunity to say i love you in person is forever lost.. for others our mothers are lost to the borg.
in fact, we may never have had the opportunity to celebrate a mother's day with them.

You have given me an idea....since my mom died four years ago.....and find myself grieving for her today....I am going to buy a potted plant to put outside on my balcony, to honor and memoralize her......to nurture her memory....forever!
A beautiful idea. My ex-Catholic mother has been dead for 23 years...still miss her...
Gloria and Colleen, please call, please?
