Special day....

yes, its my bithday on june 7 and i will be 41.......... we will be going to my sister in laws place and this is actually the first time i have really ever done anything about my birthday since leaving the you know what......over the past couple of yrs she has sent me a couple of little presents but this is the first time i will actually be going anywhere for my birthday.

The Society's response to my letter regarding my dad's suicide

actually, big tex and i think they had to run this through the legal department.

I went to the meeting Sunday.............
by integ inthe public talk was on "loyalty"- ...speaker gave examples of loyalty in bible times...i.e: esau and jacob...esau sold his birthright for a bowl of stew...not loyal of him.
david was loyal, even though he "erred" when he messed around with bathsheba, then plotted to murder her husband.
we need to be loyal.

Oh, yeah, JWs are being "trained and equipped" all right. Trained to shun persons who love God but have the audacity to question the organization. Trained to support pedophiles because they are still in good standing in the org, and show no compassion for innocent victims of child abuse, labelling these courageous survivors "liars" and "apostates".
I could go on and on....
Someone else take over, I think I'm going to be sick.

by berylblue ini read a post the other day where someone mentioned not liking those who just whined and were obviously looking for hugs and attention.. i realize i do this.
it's because there are so many wonderful people here who care and understand.

Losing weight (diet) encouragement thread
by TresHappy inlike many of us, i have struggled with weight all of my adult life.
i came into this world weighing over 10 lbs, and it seems it has been a struggle for me almost ever since.
i lost 70 lbs about 7 years ago, and kept it off for 5 years, however i have put most of it back on.
