  Here's My Witness Experience and Why I Left

  i got baptized as a jw around the end of 1981 and continued as an active publisher for about eight years.

  however, i gradually started to become disenchanted with the organization.

  it wasnt just one thing, but an accumulation of things that eventually got to me.

  By the way, Hamas, I want to pubicly praise you for your web site. Stellar. You are only a few months ahead of me, from what I gather, in terms of finding out about the org. (Or did you know the WTS' dirty little secrets before you departed in October?). I can't believe your industriousness, in creating that web site so quickly. It was one of the first I discovered when I started looking around the internet for info on the WTS. It helped a great deal.

  Because there are so many new ones here, I am wondering if the replies I got to my second post here would assist any who are feeling the way I felt when I first signed in here. An overwhelming pain and confusion.

  If you are new, and have just recently uncovered the "truth about the truth", you are not alone. Many others here have felt the same way, and would be more than willing to help if you just give a shout.

  Just what constitutes a "good seat" at an assembly?

  blondies post on an earlier thread re the gate crashers at the assemblies running to "save" the best seats got me to thinking..

  just what constitutes a "good seat" at an assembly?

  i've never quite understood that.

  Need help with quotes...

  my mother (still active) send me literature and i am looking for quotes on how it is a dfing offense for her to even be "witnessing" to me, a known apostate.. today she sent me a year old wt regarding "how can i ask for forgiveness and be repentent" (i took my sexually abusive father to court and they want an apology.

  he is a jw) and a 2 year old awake on "how can we make our marriage work?

  " (i left my abusive ex-husband, also jw, 5 years ago and she mailed with it a picture of her attending his wedding this past saturday).

  You know, I almost revealed MY name. But I won't because...

  a. I revealed info about my children, and I don't want anyone to know of whom I'm really speaking.

  b. No one would really care. So what would be the point? I don't mean that to put myself down. Just being realistic. Doesn't really matter who I am. Just one of the ex-JW walking wounded.
