  Watchtower encouraging members to go and preach in Israel

  an odd letter was read at last nights' meeting.

  it was in regards to a special campaign for next year arranged by the governing body to go and preach in israel.

  the call is going out to anybody that speaks hebrew and english.

  From my own experience: traveling to Israel is very safe. Except for Gaza, which is pretty far away from every place where tourists will go.

  A few years ago we've visited a Dutch sister who lives in Israel since the 80s. She had some nice stories about the jewish opposition against JW. They are getting some serious threats now and then. So funny when she showed a poster which was distributed in her region with the faces of her and other JW and a nasty text (I don't remember the words). But in general she was really positive.

  Serious problems with Gospel of John, and his Revelation

  1) john presents a jesus who is totally different from other gospels.

  2) johns claim of jesus being partial to him undermines jesuss own teaching (mathew 5:44-48).

  3) johns claim of first miracle (changing the water into wine) and the last (or most spectacular) miracle of resurrecting lazarus are not known to earlier gospel writers---something impossible for them to miss!.

  Imagine yourself a very old man, exiled to the desolate island Patmos. No wonder he went crazy!

  I've actually visited Patmos some years ago. It's a nice little Greek island. According to the legend John received his revelations in a cave (with sea view).

  Reading Revelation you should keep in mind that John was on that little island: there are a lot of reference to the sea in Revelation.

  So I was 23 and about to give my first complete talk (as ministerial servant) in my home congregation on saturday evening. That morning I went into the field service and did a return visit: two middle aged Russian men. We talked about the Bible, about Russia. And hey... I HAD TO try their Vodka! They really insisted. So I agreed to take one. But after that the glass was filled again. So in the end I had about 3 of 4 glasses of real good Vodka.

  The talk in the evening went great (for a 23 year old).

  Farkel is a liar and a cheat!

  i have absolutely had it with farkel's lies and (try new kiddy bathroom bubbles only $3.95 per bottle) his childish attempts to discredit those who still believe in god.

  he is relentless in his (now the one pound tub of the famous amway laundry detergent only 19.95) efforts to shove atheism down our throats.

  i personally am offended by (new amway energy bars in four tasty flavors, box of 12 only $6.95) his blatantly cynical attitude and slamming dialog.. i think his account should be (summers coming, try amway car wax and make your old car look new)!

  God Says Scripture is Enough

  all scripture is inspired of god and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness, so that the man of god may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work.. .

  as jw's we must have read that scripture a thousand times.

  brother lett was giving the last talk of the day about what they supposedly accomplished in 100 years.

  i was just waking up so im paraphrasing alittle(i was dosing off all day) anyways in his introduction he said.

  "there is more evidence to prove gods kingdom on the earth is a reality than wind,electricity and gravity is a reality on the earth".

  i mean " courting" certainley sounds more dignified than " hanging out with a new squeeze".

  " comely" is a word i think should be used more often".

  Scripture? The GB has spoken!

  The reasoning in the article is that sincere people get baptized and God only hears sincere prayers. So only God only hears prayers of baptized people. Illustrated as: "Human kings do not allow just anyone to enter into the royal palace unannounced. An audience with a king is a restricted privilege. So is prayer to the King of eternity."

  Ow, my ex went mad when she discovered this. We had tell our Bible studies sort or less that their prayers would not be heard. To me it was an eye opener.
