I understand now. I didn't really think it was something bad, because as you said, in some places they were included as footnotes or on the side. Thanks for the help. I have another question, that maybe does not concern this matter at all, but I would like to know why they put "Holy Ghost" in lowercase letters. I know that maybe you wouldn't like to answer that by yourself, but you can give me a link to a website where I can learn more on this. Thanks for the help.

Missing bible texts
by ClassAvenger ini've seen that the nwt has some omitted parts in the bible, although sometimes they are included somewhere else and they say that in that version they were taken out.
i was wondering what was the point in doing that.
the missing texts are: matthew 17:21, 18:11, 23:14 ; mark 7:16, 15:28 ; luke 17:36, 23:17 ; john 5:4, 7:53, and john 8:1-8:11.

Lol, this has got nothing to do with the topic, but I've got a JW friend whose mom took him out of extracurricular activities because she said he was dedicating more time to that than to God. Lol, we got a good laugh at that one. Is that being too religious or what?

You are right Francois. Christianity unity does not requiere uniformity in their beliefs and practices. Our Baptist church sometimes has get togethers with other churches from other religions such as Pentecostal, Presbyteran, Lutherans, and others. Be it for praying, singing, bible, or just having a good time together, we all are pretty united. We have some different beliefs and doctrines, but we all work for the same "Boss" don't we?

Daughter counselled on dating a wordly guy
by minimus inmy daughter recieved this email from one of her witness "friends".
she is counseling my daughter (indirectly) about her choice to date a "worldly" guy.. hey, so, we had a talk recently that was about love & respect in your marriage.
the brother brought out that this was more for us witnesses rather than worldly people, because it seems that even in the truth now marriage has lost it's correct place.

I have a friend in a similar situation. He is not really dating the JW girl, but they like each other a lot. Once he asked her why they couldn't go out, and she said because it was a sin. And he asked her why was that a sin, and she said there was no point in going out just for fun, since they couldn't marry. Ok, so why cant they marry? She said that because in the bible it says "You shall marry only in God" or something like that, which I know is in the bible, but isnt any other Christian also "in God"? I know that in a JWs point of view, they are not "in God", being from another religion, but how to make them understand this concept? She does not reject my friend, on the contrary, she shows him how much she likes him, but she lives in the constant fear she will be seen with him or of what she needs to do to be with him. She tried converting him, but he refused. She is really strong in her beliefs, although she does not know much. What do you all think of this situation?

If You Never Were A JW, Would You Believe In God?
by minimus inso many here do not believe in god, now.
some are not sure he exists.
if you never had been a jehovah's witness, do you think that you might still believe in a creator, in god?

I believe in God and I am not a Witness, nor will I need to be one. God exists, everything is too perfect to have started on its own, just think about it, look around you, outside, your house, at your computer monitor, its all too perfect. My thoughts.

Can you post the photocopies of the Encyclopedia and book, or can you send them by e-mail if you have them? A friend recently lent me this magazine to read and I still have it, I can show him something like this.
