If you reject God's Word, aren't you rejecting God Himself? Or are you going to believe in God according to how you think you should believe in him, without the Bible as a guideline? You may believe in God, but do you have faith in him? Even demons believe in God.

By the way, I am totally against homosexual relationships. It doesn't matter whether its love or lust. God disapproves it.

I am also sorry that the Society has destroyed your faith in God. I believe God exists, the Bible was at some point accurate, and I will live by it. I also do believe that it has been changed over the years, edited, added, and cut off. But, God will know that I was trying to keep his Word, and it is not my problem that the Bible has been changed throughout the years. Those people who modified it will be judged for it when their time comes (or already came). Anyways, I don't believe there is no purpose to our existence, or that we are the product of evolution. Just look outside your window and you will see how God's creation is so perfect. Look at your body, and tell me if you believe it was made by coincidence, or if it is so perfectly designed that you know there had to be some external power involved. Also, tell me about death, do you believe we just die and that is the end of it? It's a weird way of thinking. In my opinion, people just try to either make God in the way they want him to be, like the Society, or totally deny him, so they can live in any way they want without remorse. The former seems to be the case in this post, many people whose faith in God was destroyed by a Society who wanted their faith placed in them. God bless you all, and I hope He brings you into the truth. - CA

John 3:13
by ClassAvenger inaccording to john 3:13, "no one has ascended to heaven".
i've been wondering what this means, does it mean that no one but jesus ascended to heaven and came back to explain celestial things?

what is the # 1 reason people join the JW's ??? what attracts people ???
by run dont walk inbeing brought up in the borg, i always envied my friends that did not have to go in service, go to meetings, and waste their weekends away, i have never really been able to understand why someone would join the jw's unless they were born (forced) into it.
aside from maybe coming from an abusive lifestyle or relationship, or had serious drug/alcohol problems, this i could understand how the religion helped them get back on track.
so why do people join ???

Anyone here an ex-JW who is now attending a Christian church? If so, in which did you feel more comfortable?

Even though I have never been in the sect, I like their door-to-door preaching. It's a good way to preach the Word of God to the people. (Of course, theirs is not really the Word of God, but the Word of the Org). On the matter of 'a feeling of belonging', from what I've heard, Christian churches are better at it. A friend in the sect says that he always feels out of place. -CA

Good Master
by ClassAvenger inthey asked me why in mark 10:17-18 did jesus did not accept the adjetive "good master" and said "there is none good but one, that is god".
he knows i believe in the trinity and said that if jesus was god, how come he didn't accept this simple adjetive?
he also asked me why if jesus is god and is called the "firstborn" in many verses in the bible such as colossians 1:15, 16, isn't this adjetive applied to the father or the holy spirit, since we believe that firstborn here means having greater rank, preeminence.

On the Baptist forum the argument has already progressed more and there are some opposing the idea of him confirming his Deity. They are saying that in the actual scriptures, it says "why do you call me good?" According to some of them, he wasn't accepting this adjetive. What Neonmadman said makes a lot more sense to me. - CA

I went to a Baptist forum and I got many responses. The explanation was that he was rebuking the person to be careful with his words, and how he addresses people. He never refuted this adjetive, but said God was only good. If he had refuted this adjetive then he would have denied his deity, but since he accepted this adjetive, he confirmed his divinity. I think my question was hard to answer because the question was worded from a Jehovah Witness.

Pastor Russell NOT the founder of JWs
by Double Edge in.
interesting site i found by some present day bible students that claim the jws shouldn't trace their beginnings back to charles russell..... i wonder what practicing jws would say if they read this (or would they really care)?.

I told a Jehovah Witness that the founder of their religion was Charles Taze Russell, and he said that I was mistaken. That Jehovah Witnesses have always existed and that Charles Taze Russell just put things in place. He said that they wouldn't follow a man-made religion. I learn more as I talk to these people...
