"The last "Medical Directive" card that I recieved was expected to be signed in front of a witness. I don't see a big change here."
Datadog. I think you didn't really read the post. maybe...
i have looked around and i don't see this covered, so i am starting a thread.. 1) the new "blood card" goes beyond being just a "blood card".. 2) a new edict concerning compliance.. pay attention to the changes.. first, the new card is termed "advance decision to refuse specified medical treatment".
the big change with the card itself is that it includes an 'override' of your "power of attorney".
this is huge.

Some asking whether they can trust some internet guy. Good to be cautious.
LOL I remember back when the UN thing was all coming out. LOL again.
My wife found it on Facebook. Apparently it was released in the UK last week.
Coming here to North America next week.
My wife downloaded the BOE Letter and I have found places where the card has been put up on the web.
It takes a few days to get going, but it get's going.
We, or somebody, will put up the letter later.

The new card also includes a DNR, thus borrowing from legislation in several countries that set law for any written instructions that are attached to it. To add legal force to the "Advance Directive" (as it is called under law) they attach a "RIDER" concerning your death wish hoping to add legitimacy to the 'directive' concerning blood. They are borrowing legal precedent from "DNRs" and attaching it to the refusal for blood.
What might be termed as even a bigger thing is that the letter to the bodies of elders states that every baptized publisher will be handed one after the meeting and they must provide a copy of their filled out card for the body of elders and for the witnesses who sign it!
Push has finally come to shove. All the 'apostates' who know the TTATT will have to refuse. The evil eye will fall upon all those who do not show their strict obedience to the slave.
If you are in a position that you must comply for the sake of family, then you will have to go straight to your lawyer (and your doctor afterwards) and make a written statement superseding it. It would be good to demonstrate, within the context of this 'ultimate sworn declaration' with your lawyer, that you were forced to fill out the 'Watchtower's card' under duress.
It would be good to have a copy of the letter to the bodies of elders where the new edict appears. It will soon be put up on the web in more places for availability. It would also be good to record the meeting where the card is released, audio at least, video if possible. Thus it can be established that you had little choice, being put in the position of being divorced from your family.
got this very interesting email last night and i thought i'd share it.. this is from the local rbc.. "in harmony with our new ldc form we have been asked by the branch to liquidate all current assets of used tools and materials once owned by the rbc.
you are invited to visit the equipment trailers to acquire items being liquidated by the rbc asset team, these items will be offered on a first come bases with voluntary donation.
if you see any item you like please be in position to take it with you at that time, after you return to your congregation then you will make a donation of cash or check in the congregation contribution box designated for the support of the worldwide work.
this may have been discussed before.
the costs for using the assembly hall for a one day last saturday was $12,000 with another assembly for the other half of the circuit on sunday, which will ring up another $12,000.
if the assembly was for two days the friends might roll their eyes if it were announced the costs for the two days was $24,000.
It's all a bunch of re-baked accounting and mind wash.
They always announce a surplus. Why?
So that the dubs are led to believe that whatever the costs announced last time, the monies were received in full... and extra. This is to motivate giving. If JW's were allowed to believe that the convention was shorted, then God's blessing would be lacking. So, it has to look as though Jah blessed it and it overflowed. But not too too much... don't want to let the dubbers think they can slack now and rest on their laurel$.
When they announce the figure is say $10,000 I am sure they don't get it. Probably get 60% or so. Still a good haul. But they cannot then announce a deficit of $4000 next time. How would that look?
The first thing the dubs would ask is 'how did we make it through without paying our bill?' The next thing they would ask is 'If we made it through without paying our bill last time, can we do it again?' And then they would ask 'if others aren't paying up... then why should I...?'
Then there's probably a host of other things that would go through dubber's minds. All of which would prove to be a negative for Watchtower's receivables.
And speaking of receivables... THAT, my friends, if why they NEVER EVER announce that one delicate number.
Amount received at our last assembly day.

This is how costs are worked out.
The attendance is taken in the morning and tallied. The number is presented to the circuit overlord. At the noon break there is a meeting for all the elders. The elders are told to 'show a hand' on the matter to add the air of legitimacy.
The formula is quite simple. In Canada the dollar value attributed to each head is $12.00 which is multiplied times the attendance. Then is added an amount for the comfort expenses of the bro sent from the branch, a suite at a nice hotel, meals and dry cleaning.
Possible to have an outlayer expense on top.
Example. 800 x $12 + $300 = $9900
i had a discussion with an elder recently.
it was interesting in a macabre sense.
we were outside the kingdom hall on a nice sunny day recently.
"Elders can only understand what is in the Watchtower article."
That's a lark. They can't even understand that.
when i first learn ttatt i started telling every one.
ttatt will not help him, it will destroy him.
all his family are jws.

I have long believed that only certain ones deserve to know the truth. I have had the privilege of helping a few in their quest for knowledge. I have been able to help these people while still 'attending' and even 'serving'. Still on-going. Nobody lives a double life as well as I do. One for Christ, and one as a mole... for Christ.
But I also agree that there are some who "deserve it" as one person above mentioned. For example, there was one elder who was getting on my case. I had enough of him. So, I 'bombed his hood'. (Well, that's what "Hawkaw" my helper those days named it. I don't know how many here remember him...)
Yes, I bombed his hood. He went ballistic. He 'railed on' about it at the kingdom hall. Told the whole congo about how he went to all his neighbours trying to dig himself out. Did a full on rant when he got the microphone during a meeting part. Even went to the CO and it resulted in what I call 'honourable mention' at the circuit assembly. (they had a part and talked about it)
I enjoyed it all.
I don't know what's happening with this brother these days. He doesn't attend anymore. He's done. I don't know why, but I am happy all the same. If I had even a minute part, I'm pleased.
In any case, he had something bigger to deal with than bothering me. OOOh la la.
Now, there's a few other elders that are pissing me off. It's time once again to wind up the machine.
How ugly it's going to be for them. I am glad I am not them. Really glad.
Because they are going to have TTATT shoved right down their throats. And probably up the other way too.

We tried this, all active JW's should try this too.
Ask an elder, or a long-time 'spiritual' dubber, this one question. See where it takes you.
"Brother, has the generation of 1914 passed away?" Listen for the response. It's going to be interesting...
Best to do this in person, so you can watch the squirming.
At first, they will answer according to common sense. "Yes"... they will say, and then perhaps offer some attempt at qualification of their answer.
After they have answered, they will slowly realize the implications. (If your choice of JW meat was unusually leathery, you might have to chew a bit.) Give them a little nudge, as they may, after answering, have a sense that something ain't right but they are unable to nail it down. Give a little help.
Say, "cause if it did, then Jesus words that the generation wouldn't pass away failed".. now they see it!
This is where they change horses mid-stream. And anybody knows, if you do that ...you drown.
The brother will then come back with the opposite answer. "No!" he will say. "It hasn't"... Aha! an epiphany.
He will go on to tell you what he has 'just recently learned' about the overlapping generation.
Oh goodie. The water is boiling.
Then present the query, "is the generation in between also an overlapping generation?"... 'What do you mean?', he will ask. (never thought about it)
Then say, "Brother Franz was of the current governing body's grand-parent's generation... the generation of 1914 was their grand parent's, not parent's generation, so what of the generation in between? Is that another over lapper?
Oh oh. Problem. While he's pondering the stupidity of it all and he's thinking of the Hindenburg burning down, add this.
Brother, the Awake magazine used to say in the front page that it's purpose was to build faith that the generation of 1914 would NOT pass away ...and they have removed it. If they believe it has not -and will not- then why did they take it out? And not put it back?
