i have a lot to be thankful for, a wonderful wife , great son , a good place to live in the mountains , and great animals on our property , a peaceful life .

just one big void still there in my life , my jw daughters have frozen me out of their lives .

They have their cult identity which they wear most of the time as witnesses , " a robot like speech pattern like a tape recording of a cult lecture. Very rigid posture, facial muscles tighten,. A cult members eyes will be glassy, cold, or glazed , and they often seem to stare through people .

What do you think the Ministry School and Service Meetings are for? Rehearsals and practice sessions for overcoming objections!

Our Fine Feathered Friends in the Backyard!

what kind of birds do you feed?

i have had a wonderful variety this day at my backyard feeders.

i enjoy them.. pileated woodpecker.. downey woodpecker.. cardinal.. red-breasted nuthatches.. white breasted nuthatches.. junkos.

Throughout most of the summer we had two hummingbirds visiting our red Crocosmias in the back yard. Positively delightful!

Bluejays, robins, chickadees, sparrows, crows, starlings, pigeons, and woodpeckers are among our other feathered friends frequenting our back yard.

i have been busy reading steve hassan's book, " combatting cult mind control " and just wanted to share several thoughts now that i'm about 25% through the book.

it has been a real eye opener of how the power of a cult like the " jehovah's witnesses works.. one thing he mentioned is that in cults, " members are systematically made to feel phobic about ever leaving the group .

I saw the video about how to help someone exit a cult. How does one help another person leave a cult when the cult member won't speak due to shunning practices?
