Thanks for all the great responses... I'm sorry for sounding grouchy, it's just that I hate thinking that we all left and remained bitter people. I left the borg and I'm happy as hell.. but the political arguments, etc... that go on here just get so assinine and I just wanted to throw my uneducated 2 cent opinion in ^_~ hee hee

Bay Area Dubs

i just talked to my ex about her weekend and she said something that really disturbed me.

she spent the weekend up in the bay area (sf area of ca) with a bunch of dubs.

she was telling me about them and made the comment of them being different from the stuffy here in fresno.

Anyway, everything in the bay area is relaxed... it's a big city, easy to get away with stuff. ^_^

I'm in love.

I've been in love with her for six months, now, almost to the day. She's sitting here right now, reading me stupid laws of the united states , (i.e. "In Carmel it's illegal to eat ice cream while standing on a sidewalk") She just caught me writing about this, and blushed. So I blushed

Ok, so love is crazy, and life is crazy, and we all may not have love... but we have ONE damned thing to smile about, that's for sure... and it's that we can wake up in the morning every day, look outside, and the world is OURS. A friend once told me that if you can survive exiting the JWs whether it's DAing, DFing, or doing the slow fade... you can survive ANYTHING. I mean, I think we all need to get our hearts beating out here!

I think we need to use what life we have left to make ourselves feel good! I mean, let's live it up, we only get one shot right? I made it out, with my happiness, my sanity in tact. The world is a lot bigger than California, Texas, Florida, Canada, England, or Australia (Any any other place I left out in my inconsiderate nature ^_~) I've seen it! ^_^ I've been everywhere, of my own volition, and it's beautiful! Even if it's just your own damn scruffy ass backyard you're lookin at, there's magic to it.

Call me crazy or sentimental, but I'm so f--king excited about being alive I can hardly contain myself. AND NO, I AM NOT DRUNK ( I was the night of the memorial, but that's because I wanted to drink. ^_^ Tonight all I've had is a bag of cotton candy ^_^)

So c'mon anybody who reads this, we got lives, some of us have husbands, wives... Do something special for them, hug em real tight, kiss them, and tell them you LOVE THEM! If you don't have somebody, go out and find somebody! Hug your kids, your family members that still talk to you! ^_^ If not, call them and tell them you love 'em, f--k it! ^_^ Why not? Why even ask? We all made it out of a terrible thing that could have ruined all our lives. I think it's a good form of therapy! ^_^

Hell, do what I did. Drive by the KH and FLIP THE F--KERS OFF!!

Whatever you do, smile when you're done, cuz in the end, THEY(Meaning the dubs) mean nothing. ^_^ And you, and what you love, and what you make of your life, means everything.

I cut off my last ties to the JWs today.

my old best friend had to return my dvd to me from six months ago... she lost it, so she paid me back.

it was an interesting situation, because i had been speaking to her up until the beginning of april, when if you remember i posted asking for advice on what to do about it.

i was too weirded out talking to her, so i decided to tell her to shun me.

Thanks all! Yeah, it was pretty unpleasant to continue talking to her. I mean, I'm from a completely different world than she is now, and to hear the blathering on about JWs and how they're doing is annoying, considering I can see right through that crap now.

Tex, you're right it was a very liberating experience! ^_^

Rocketman, Yep, I took the preemptive action before she could I'm not stupid, I don't need more pain than I've already went through. I woke up feeling like a new woman. ^_^

The Knock at the Door After the Prayer

this experience is commoly related by jehovah's witnesses:.

a man or woman is desperately searching for "the truth" or someone is about to give up on life but before they do they utter a prayer to god and lo and behold a knock is heard on the door and behind the door are jehovah's witnesses.. these experiences are used by jw's to confirm angelic direction on their work and seems to reinforce in them that they have the "truth".. how does one argue against such personal experience?.

i am no longer a jw and no longer support their organizational teachings by the way, but i'd like to throw out the above question to you all for comment and consideration.. .

It's called coincidence, and it's not as uncommon as one would think. Also, since JWs teach that Jah doesn't listen to worldly people's prayers and only satan listens... wouldn't it be satan guiding JWs to these poor people? Doesn't make sense once logical thought is used.

She seemed so hurt, but she dealt with it. It's hard because we will work together in close proximity, but I don't break promises to myself, and I have nothing to say to her. It's weird to think we won't be talking anymore, as we were very very very close best friends for 4 years, but I feel so... FREE of all my ties of the organization. ^_^ finally. ^_^

I just wanted to say that. ^_^

this was a sign displayed in the workshop at ingleburn (aust) during construction of new printing facilities sometime in the 80's (if i recall correctly).

see what a sense of humor the loving brothers display.

i was privileged (read gullible) to volunteer (read conscripted) some time during construction.. cheeses was blessed (and blesses).
