so i'm talking to an old mutual "worldly" friend of mine and my old jw best friend who's currently shunning me because i'm an unrepentant fornicator... (a fag) .

anyway, and he proceeds to tell me that she has been banging her boyfriend for quite some time now!

and she's in good standing with the cong.

Be glad for her...it is a step toward getting out, and that is good. Rebellion from the conformity has to start somewhere, and for people like her, raised in the truth and having a controlling family, maybe the route she has taken is the one with the most motivation to escape the constriction of JW life.

Truman, you know, I agree. I hope she finds a way out. But when I heard about it.. I swear, I nearly choked I laughed so hard. I was so annoyed and so amused.. so bemused. I wish I could turn her in but I don't think it's necessary. Oh to hear her mother choke when she finds out... to be a fly on the wall...

recently i asked:have you experienced god?and many of you responded.the question was not intended to prove that god exists,or,doesn't.rather, what each persons own experience meant for them.. now,i thought that it would be only fair to ask:have you experienced satan?again not to prove that satan exists or dosen't.rather what each persons own experience meant for them.. maybe some have experienced both,god and satan at different times,or can you tell the difference?.

Y'know Man, I wish I could, but I'm a better person than that. I should tell her folks, they'd believe me... but it's her life, and she's got it bad enough as it is, being stuck a JW and all. So I'm not even gonna mess with it. I'm gonna leave it... and I'm going to tell her little fiance's Bible Study what a hypocrite he is... *evil devil smile* Wa ha ha ha ha! =-) Glad you like my posts, though.

my ex husband just told me that he will continue to facilitate visitation between my child and my jw family who is shunning me (see my other thread "i didn't think they could find another way to hurt me but...") he says i'm the one with the problem and that i should be "ashamed of myself".

it's not like i thought he'd cooperate, but for him to stand there and tell me that he will allow my sister full access to my child and there's not a damn thing i can do (and probably, legally, that's right) makes my blood boil.

makes me just want to swallow every fricking pill in the house.

Take the mother f--ker to court and cite child abuse in the JW organization!!! Say they pose a threat to your child's sanity and that it's immoral, and if you want to set a precedent and if you have enough cash, take the husband to court and accuse him of the abuse and you can prove that the society brainwashes people. (hugs) good luck in all your endeavors...

Damn. I feel so vindicated.

Have you ever had a good friend that you shared so much with, and with time things changed and you've become enemies? Should good friends let certain misunderstandings destroy a friendship?

My best JW friend of 4 years, when I came out of the closet at her house, even though I did everything with her, and for her... she was the meanest and cruelest to me... "Get out." and then she went out the next day with all my JW friends and bashed me.

Why is it that too often friendship turns to hatred?

Funny thing is, I don't hate her. I pity her. At least I get to be myself for whatever length of time I live. ^_^

Yes, it pisses me off.

What I think of myself, because I'm the only one whose opinion matters, and most people just sit around worrying about themselves anyway.

No. I don't do that. I don't even put down JWs, I just pity them very very badly.

No, it just makes me a citizen in the most powerful nation on Earth.

What do you think makes the world hate the United States so much?

The fact that we take what we have for granted, and the fact that we look at things that are done "the American Way" as the ONLY WAY and put such an emphasis on material possessions. MULAN, Americans aren't arrogant, they're just young. I'm just young. And very inexperienced. I think people from smaller countries acknowledge this, and get angry because they see what americans have and would appreciate it more if they had it.

9/11 changed the world and America forever. For a brief moment the world stopped. Many people think that a valuable opportunity to come together as the human race was lost. Others think that it is time to abandon allies that will not stand beside the US. Do you have a opinion on this? What did America fail to do? What did it do right?

I don't think america failed to do anything. We did what we could, I mean... that was the perfect attack, and nobody saw it coming, not even our government. I think that we did everything right in the situation, for what they could do.

back when i was younger every dream i would have would come true.

it kinda freaked me out since they were not always good dreams.

i don't remember too many of my dreams anymore but a couple weeks ago i did and it did partially come true the very next day.

Out of curiousity... you come to this forum, so obviously you use it for one of two reasons: To strengthen your own faith by having to do all the research on questions we post on the forum, or

You want to see what life is like on the "dark" side. But here's my question to you.

We all joined the JW faith with the thought in mind that we'd found the true religion... now, do you think in all honesty that the true religion would have to be DEFENDED so very much? I mean, the society changed it's mind on much more pertinent information... life threatening info, like whether or not certain types of blood substitutes could be used in transfusions... do you truly think that a God of Love would have such a rule? Over something like whether or not blood is ok?

And what about shunning... How is it loving to cast off those who are in need of help, and cost them their families, friends, relationships, and personal security while out in public? There's no love in shunning, and very very very few people return after experiencing it...

Also, we're all human, we all have personal sin... doesn't the simple fact that if even one elder knew that you posted on an ex-jw forum you would be severely counseled, reproved, and possibly disfellowshipped for 'sitting at the same table with demons."??

No animosity, SOJ, I'm a peaceful person and you know it. Just curious, though. Because I think you post on here to see what it's like after one chooses to leave... and I think you want to leave, and so you eavesdrop on here to see what it's like... but I watch you, and you defend the society so much... I just wondered if you realized how much time you spend defending an organizations mistakes, and if you thought that could really be the real true religion... Anyway, best to you.
