  i've noticed on this forum that a fair few ex-jw's still refer to the members of the non-christain cult known as the jehovah's witneses as christians.

  im aware that current members may wrongly believe they are in fact christians because the organisation leads them to believe they are serving god.

  but for ex-members who are awake to the false teachings of this non-christain organisation, i thought they may be more prudent in their choice of words, and not refer to them as christians.

  my mother recently told me that the congregation was scolded by their district sales manager....errr circuit overseer for poor meeting attendance.

  it seems that at times attendance would sink as low as 60%.

  she didn't respond when i said that maybe there was something good on television that night.

  I don't think the Gov Bod wants to admit that they're wrong about most of their teachings due to pride and fear of lawsuits

  They have painted themselves into a corner and we know how reluctant they are to admit error. Maybe they could make a "we never said anything about 1975" type blood statement such as:

  "In the past some have regrettably lived by an unreasonably strict interpretation of Mosaic law with un fortunate consequences rather than a prayerful decision reached by a spiritually mature Christian."

It seems that at times attendance would sink as low as 60%. She didn't respond when I said that maybe there was something good on television that night. I also asked her how the society is keeping a sense of urgency now that the 1914 generation has by all means passed away without "things taking place". The DM ...er CO went on to say that unless you were contagious there was no excuse for missing a meeting. This includes people suffering with arthritis, lupus, back pain, headaches etc. Can you believe that people will sit still for this crap?

  there is apparently no chance at all of her ever recovering from her present state, but do you think she should live or die?

  for myself, i think she's better off dead than living---no, existing---in her present state.

  i for one, have instructed my family to let me die if something like this ever happened to me.

  Since she can not act for herself the courts should divorce her from her husband due to adultry and allow her un-conflicted parents to decide her fate. That being said I would prefer to die if I were in her situation. Just don't do it by starvation.
