Prospects are told that JWs are the "happiest people on earth". .....They are "Christians" and don't "judge their brother". Bullcrap! They have no clergy/laity class but elders, circuit and district overseers are every "publisher's" bosses.......Can you think of other things that you only will find out as time goes on??

That you can't read the Bible you grew up with; you have to trade it in for the NWT (Not Worth your Time) version.

That it was a sign up for life plan, and once your baptized or even study with the JW's you are supposed to follow all their rules or else face their punishment. I found them very misleading as to the level of control they would attempt to exert over their members.

Since they consider it a legal committment (baptism) and that you HAVE to abide by their rules, JWs should get IN WRITING all that is expected of them as per contract. That would scare off people, boy!

Funny story-
When I was a kid, my family and I went to an elders house for a pool "party". This elder invited some people over that he was studing with for about a year. I sat down near the adults in excitement about the conversation. Out of the blue, I said " How hard is it, to have to give up celebrating holidays, since you were raised with holidays?" They're mouths dropped in shock and immediately started asking what I was talking about. Later my parents were called into a meeting and the elders said that I had cost them this family that would have converted. I guess their blood is now on my shoulders!!! HA HA HA
I got in trouble, but I remember feeling good that at least I was honest.

Love, that's a great example! Telling the truth about the "truth" can help a "prospect" from ever coming in .....YAY!!

During your bible study, they will say that the end is very very close, and then later when you're baptized, they will say that it will surely come during your life time.....
