<<< Why are there no stories of women in the bible fighting? >>>
maybe coz we just pound tent pins thru the man's skull and leave? AFTER sex of course.

at walter reed medical center in washington dc recently the sergeant major of the army, jack tilley, was with a group of people visiting the wounded soldiers.
he saw a special forces soldier who had lost his right hand and suffered severe wounds of his face and side of his body.
the sma wanted to honor him and show him respect without offending, but what can you say or do in such a situation that will encourage and uplift?

go melt over some kitties at www.ratemykitten.com/ratemy/kitten .
never before has one site caused so many manly men to go awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.
so much cuteness, it should be banned!
my faves are the kitten and the cactus, the cat posturing in the mirror and the baby right after that onethat walks off the dresser on the way to the window. My littlest cat is named Mystick Grace...mostly coz she has no grace.....she falls off of everything!
My husband likes the cat that ambushed the toddler....and the cat in the 'paralyzing' sweater.

it all started on friday.
i had sushi for lunch with some friends from work and then went to our miniapostafest friday night and had more sushi.
felt a little queasy but i figured it was all the sake bombs i'd had (one at lunch, two at dinner, plus a gin & tonic and glass of wine).
hey Cruzan,
if you can stomach it---drink some Gatorade with a dash of crystal vitamin C thrown in. If the gall bladder acts up---nausea again and pain in the right upper quadrant of the back...then leave out the vitamin C and stick with straight Gatorade. If it is food poisoning it will flush out with proper fluid and electrolyte support. Vitamin C will help keep the liver clean from any other poisons or viruses if you can keep it down---too much Vit C will also CAUSE diarrhea--so don't overdo it.
Billygoat--the tea and pringles makes sense from an electrolyte standpoint too.
Hope you feel better soon.

Hey KGB,
thank you for your service in Viet Nam. not enough people said that at the time it was due.
<<< but I will say this the people of this great land voted for Al Gore and not for Bush it was the electoral Collegges that put Bush in office and not the people. If you deny that then you are really showing your ignorance and stupidity. >>>
you are absolutely right. thing is, the Electoral College is the legal means of determining this. So, unfortunately we have discovered the chink in the armor. To fix it, an overhaul of laws, the Constitution even, will be needed. If you were running for President and the opportunity came up for you to take advantage of such a chink in the armor--wouldn't you? So Bush is a snake...but he is a faster snake than Gore obviously. Between two snakes I would choose the faster one.
So what can the American people do to come up with a real candidate that reflects our views? It is the two-party system that is to blame. THAT is what needs to be changed.

oh yeah that 'special time of the month'.........I forgot about that............guess women are inferior to men since for a few days each month we feel an unbridled blood lust and have more dark power than we know what to do with. So that is what makes us more a delicate weaker vessel huh? Next time I am holding a knife to the throat of my husband in a PMS rage I will remind him of my 'delicateness'.
ok fine! men are just jealous idiots! are you happy now?
Ravyn, who is thinking of joining the rabid-feminists now because men are stupid and I can grow my own cucumbers.
God Bless America! 'cause the Goddess has given up on it.
took a while, but i got approved for 2 brand new hearing aids for free!!
the clinic across from the homeless shelter where i am staying told me today that my application for 2 brand new hearing aids got approved and i am to report to the clinic tomorrow morning at 10 am to be fitted for new ear molds.. still no luck on jobs!
i went to the speedway gas station 6 weeks ago and came back 3 weeks later to check on the status of my application and someone lost it.
I was diagnosed with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus when I was 14 and it was figured at the time that I had had it since I was 2. I have been on Supplemental Security Income since January 1986. I have a $4000 wheelchair and a priceless seizure-trained companion dog. I get over $800 a month worth of prescriptions at no charge. I am on Medicaid, I have used Food Stamps and Welfare from time to time. I usually do not qualify for FS and Welfare since I have no children. I am totally supported by a system that I never paid into.
If I could work, I would not be making minimum wage at some fast food joint. I am highly intelligent and no one could ever call me lazy(I have 15 yrs of regular pioneering, with a wheelchair--to prove that!)
So, when I hear someone like Nathan making comments like they did about people who are disabled (not because of choice,) I say a little prayer(spell) that those people someday get first hand experience of what it is like to walk in a disabled person's shoes---or roll in a disabled person's chair. I certainly owe no one with the attitude of Nathan any gratitude. I am not a better person than Nathan and I don't pretend to be, but I am just as good. And I fought just as hard for what I have as anyone who is 'able' did--if not harder since I usually had to fight governments AND self-centered creeps--all with a physical body that is defective.
So Nathan, may you never know need, because someone WILL just spit in your face and walk away.

to whoever said we were not in North Korea--we are in North Korea! we are trying to talk it out, just like we tried to do in Iraq thru the legal means of the UN. give me a friggin break! go whine about the election somewhere else! No way in hell you can tell me that Al Gore would not be in a war right now---convenient to forget about 911 when someone steps on some liberal political toes aint it?
the military in any country serves to channel natural aggression under a sense of honor. yeah go ahead--do away with all military. you will end up with tribes killing each other over the same issues wars are fought over now---except there will be no honor or law to keep it all in check. I may not be a rabid feminist, but Teenyuck has a point---men will always be men, and whether the more 'sensitive' men on this post like it or not--men fight. Personally I think women are better able to get a grip on this aggression because women face life and death daily, every time they get pregnant, carry a child and give birth. You can talk all you want about modern humanity with our intelligence and sophistication, but it does not change the fact that evolution or creation, women have a sense of survival built in to handle reproduction that men can't even conceive of(--pun intended).
So Democrats--get over it already! Shouldn't you be using that excess negativitiy in putting together a new election campaigne? I did not vote for Bush or for Gore last time. I hope there is more of a choice this next time---but I doubt it the way it looks right now. One thing I can say for women over men in politics---you don't see political women sitting on their asses crying over what should have been! Women get things done. Ask your mother.

my uncle oliver passed this past weekend.
he was my step-dad's grandfather's brother.
(does that make him my great or great-great uncle?).
sorry for your loss Mike. I heard of your uncle way back when. I think I may have even met him. you all know I believe in the spirit realms...all I can think of is how surprised he is gonna be! Maybe he will let you know how it is going. Keep your heart open for it.

my father in law was a ArmySF E6 but he did make it to Master Sgt--however he had a slight disagreement with his CO over how his men were being treated. He served 1st, 5th and 10th SFG three re-ups in Nam, the entire SE Asian campaign, silver star, bronze star with clusters, purple heart--which he refused. retired career in 1985 and just retired from the Post Office two years ago. He was not drafted. He volunteered.
