for those of us who left organized religion, how does it make you feel when a xtian says they will pray for you because you don't believe the same as they do?
personally, in my opinion, that is a very obnoxious statement, especially if i don't ask or want someone to pray for me.
to me, that's saying that i am wrong and they are right, and they are praying to god that i will see things their way.

How about this one(actually happened to me):
4 men between the ages of 25-45 dressed in shirts and pants(looking like they just took off their neck ties...)shopping in a Janitorial Supply store while in the parking lot is a minivan of females in Thrift Store dresses with 2.5 children each waiting for them to come out with their purchase of squeegees and mops.
(I was in the Janitorial Supply store to get carpet shampoo for the steam machine I rented.)

has anyone ever had any experiences with ghosts or that of the paranormal world ?.
we think that we have a ghost in our house, nothing major just does little things at times, was just wondering if anyone has ever had anything happen to them ?
or if you dont believe in ghosts, how do you explain what happens to people ?.
I had a friend who lived in a haunted house. It felt rather hostile to her and my 'adopted' brother and I could definitely 'feel' something in certain areas of the house. One night we were standing in front of the entertainment center looking at her photos she had displayed on it and we had this sensation of a major electrical shock..knocked us both back and blew the whole wall--everything went dead for about an hour. We checked the fuses and breakers and nothing was out or tripped, then just as suddenly it all came back on. But we felt like something walked thru us. We went to the other side of the wall in the middle room and pulled off a piece of panelling and guess what? There was a doorway underneath!
So whoever it was was walking thru the doorway and we happened to be standing there. I have heard that there are 'time rifts' and portals to other dimensions, and I think that is what that was. I just wonder what the personon the other side experienced walking thru us like that?

that's what a co-worker said to me today.
now, i admit that i'm in a benzodiazapine withdrawal induced daze all of the time (did more research on this and it's quite possibly going to last another half a year or more...one person, who stopped klonopin 18 months ago described it as "always feeling as though i am just coming off an acid trip", which i don't know about but i can imagine), but i thought this was kind of mean.. i miss my daughters; they are never going to speak to me again, i feel so isolated here, i'm ashamed of the entire benzo withdrawal thing, ashamed that i can't hold a real job, just really, really down.. al stewart, as always, said it much better than i ever could:.

yet, i think i understand now what the scripture at 1 corinthians 5.
next time you go in to see her boss bring a huge box of expensive chocolates, show them to her and tell her she can't have any--don't want to force her into 'sharing a meal'!

what are some of the foods you remember being served at district and circuit assemblies.
i remember every sunday was roast chicken.
also i remember them serving knockwurst and saurkraut.
it occurred to me when I was an adult that if I paid for the stupid meal tickets, then using them was a moot point--the Borg already got their money before the doors ever even opened! So basically I would buy barely enough tickets to get me thru the snacks and eat wherever I damn well pleased. But then again I was in So Cal and you were just as likely to run into a GB at the local Taco Bell as you were to buy an enchirito and drip sauce on your blouse...

oh and incidentally-- when Ray actually did have lunch with a DAd BUSINESS ASSOCIATE(I can't remember if he was his landlord or his employer at the time), the Borg rule was not that it was wrong to do. They actually changed the rule after that and pro-rated it just for him.
