"Anthony Hopkins - oooohhhh his eyes" Have you seen World's Fastest Indian? Hopkin's was awesome in that.. and I love the line "dirty old men need love too" "Big Lebowski? Eh, it was unique and memorable, but it just didn't "click" with me" It's one of those does or doesn't films, most people love it or hate it. Another one I've found to be along those lines was Big Fish.. I loved it.. but a lot of people I know hated it (most of them sided with the son) Misty

We LOVE Much Ado, I've seen it a dozen times :)
Not to turn this into a favorite films thread.. But, have you seen Waking Ned Devine? Has to be my all time fav.. right up there with Amelie.. also love Big Labowski (sp?) and Being john Malkavich (sp?) We're big fans of Shrek and ice age and the like, as well. So I guess we like a pretty wide range of movies, too.

Ewan McGregor
Daystar.. you watch a lot of chick flics, do you like the movies or just whose in them?? My hubby likes most of those movies, too, but it's unusual to find other guys who do, or at least that admit it

What happens when a child sees this and hears this?
by The Dragon ina father has to spank a childs sibling for committing a wrongdoing in his eyes or judgement in front of them.
what goes through that childs mind as he watches dad "put it down"?.
does it say when people do something wrong in their judgement as they grow older it is ok and nessesary to stike them.

I was one of those kids that didn't listen. Sometimes the only way to get something through my thick scull was to swat my ass. My parents didn't beat us, but they did spank us. They only did it when necessary, not all the time.. so when we did get swatted, we knew it was serious. I never felt abused and my siblings and I never thought it was ok to hit each other.
That's all the input I have, I don't feel I should give advice on parenting when I'm not a parent.

Who I really am
by JWdaughter inthis is so stupid, but yesterday i was shopping and i saw this wild blouse and i thought-if i could dress how i really wanted to, i would buy that blouse.
i walked away and was thinking-why the hell shouldn't i dress how i want to?
because someone told me that orange paisley print is tacky?

my ex wouldn't let me wear anything sleeveless... now I own more tank tops than I can count... and the two dresses I own are both sleeveless (and both qualify for the hippie era) I love being Me! and not dressing how someone else thinks I should!
Misty
ps.. you would have regretted NOT buying that blouse way more than you will ever regret owning it.
