  Another lawsuit... this one in Oregon.

  complaint: negligence, breach of confidential relationship, intentional infliction of severe emotional distress.

  once again the elders appointed a convicted and confessed child molester to a position of responsibility as an officer and ministerial servant of the congregation.

  this time the accused name is jerry anderson crabb of the lancaster congregation of jehovah's witnesses - 4795 macleay road se, salem, or 97301. sadly, as one would expect, he has been accused of sexually abusing a child on multiple occasions.

  This lawsuit was brought way back in July? Do we know if anything came of it? Did they settle? Inquirering minds want to know!!!

  I knew some of the Crabbs.

  I also know that my Grandmothers husband is a pedophile who was almost appointed an ms recently because he moved and no letter was forwarded about his past behavior.. fortunatly those involved heard about it and contacted his new cong. and averted his apointment. Of course he still attends meetings and I'm sure that, other than the body of elders, no one knows what he really is. My mother, a true blue die hard JW, contacted a local agency to keep track of a granddaughter who lives near him.. but is that really enough? I feel like printing up flyers with his picture on them and distributing them in the small community he lives in. What a perv.. makes me ill.

  Law Enforcement Connections, Im puzzled

  well i have been working in law enforcement for many years now as a sheriff's corrections officer, in the process i have worked in housing, i have been a cto (correctional training officer) i have worked the medical division, i have worked in booking and intake.

  i have done facility security, perimeter security.

  one thing that kinda bothers me is that nowadays seems like there is no personal connection in law enforcement.

  I could be wrong, but I think this has less to do with your job than it does with where you are at mentally and emotionally. I've never been in any kind of law enforcement, but I have felt completely disconnected from those around me. I can't help you with any answers to this, I'm still figuring it out for myself.

  i was talking this morning while i was preaching with this sister, and she asked me: do you know that the preaching work will be done soon?

  i asked her: what do you mean?

  she responded back: a sister (and i know her also) told me that her brother heard that the preaching is gonna be over because there are only two countries that jw can't go because it's too dangerous and yada yada yada.

  I think your right, they are throwing this out there to stir things up a bit. They have already alluded to this in their publications so saying it at assemblys now is just to get the masses riled. A little more "stay alive til '75" only this time they can say that they agree with what was said, but that this never meant the witnessing work was over, they haven't ever said that, it's just the brothers assuming too much again.

  New Baby Alert!

  well my new son, calvin frank little was born friday january 12th weighing in at a whopping 9lbs.

  he started turning purple at his first breast feeding but quickly recovered his color.

  he did it again that evening and that landed him in icu.

  Wow, congratulations!! How's mom? that is one big baby

  My hubby has sleep apnea.. we finally got him a cpap machine so I can sleep at night without nudging him to start breathing every few minutes. Is it the same in baby's as adults? Is it related to SIDS?

  Hopefully the little guy is just getting all his medical stuff out of the way now so he won't have to worry about it again til after college

  i'm new to the forum (in fact, i just joined about 10 minutes before starting this post), and am a new jw (i began learning and attending meetings since about november of '06).

  i have a question involving my girlfriend and i, and i'm hoping to find a moral answer.

  my girlfriend and i fell in love two summers ago, and we're still pretty young (we're turning 17 this year).

  At the hall, I noticed that everyone is friendly and cares about each other

  It is, perhaps, a good thing they don't know about your little indiscretion with your gf. You would find them very different if they did. What you are seeing is the show put on for new ones, the love fest that rapidly dwindles once you are commited. I know that sounds harsh, but I have seen it so many times, it's heartbreaking.

  This is what it will take Get it all out, talk til your blue in the face.. don't hold any of it back.. rant and rave and scream some too!!

  Lurking here has shown you the same stories over and over again for a reason.. we all know that we aren't saying anything new, but we all have the need to talk about it, get it off our chests.. chip off our shoulders, whatever. This is one of the few places that you will find people who truely understand what you went through and, more importantly, imo, what you are going through now.

  So... WELCOME!! and don't hold back... let it all out!! You might find some peace of mind.

  I heard that "Harry" is doing nude plays in England. So not cool

  I don't understand this equating the actor with the character. If an actor or singer does something I don't like.. I don't watch or listen. It's as simple as that. If you don't like "Harry" doing nude plays.. don't go see it.

  I completely agree that it is sad the story line is coming to an end... but at least she's not dragging it out until you can't find the story anymore (the wheel of time series comes to mind... will he ever end it?)

  I wish they would hurry up with the movies.. and not leave the ghosts out of the next one, I really missed them in the last movie.

  Feeling kinda cantankerous tonight, can you tell?
