Anyone live in or near Orlando?

i'm moving to orlando in about 8 months and i have a few questions.

I live in the Ft. Lauderdale area. I know Safe4kids she's a blast and Venice also lives near by (my bestest buddy). We'll all have to get together. Glad to hear that you're moving to the area. Hope that you love it as much as I do!!

do you know why so many people are leaving the "truth"?

it's because they all figured out that they really were going to die.

once a witness understands that millions now living will indeed die, they begin to regress from the witness spirituality.

First Holidays as a Non-JW

this will be the first year i go through the holidays as a non-jw.

and on top of that with beliefs that can best be described as agnostic.

basically i think i probably won't do much different.

THIS WILL BE MY FIRST CHRISTMAS AS A NON~JW AND I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!! EVEN AS A WITNESS I HAVE ALWAYS LOVED THIS TIME OF YEAR. THE MUSIC IS GREAT!!! PEOPLE ARE SOO CHEERY AND EXTRA FRIENDLY. I LOVE ALL THE CHRISTMAS LIGHTS AND SEEING ALL OF THE BEAUTIFUL CHRISTMAS TREES. THERE'S SUCH A WARMTH TO THE SEASON. I'LL BE JUST LIKE A BIG KID THIS CHRISTMAS!! I'VE ALREADY STARTED MY CHRISTMAS SHOPPING AND I'M HAVING A TOTAL BLAST. I LOVE CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sometimes, the gender of a poster is relatively easy to deduce due to their style of posting, and, dare i say it, their choice of vocabulatory.

but sometimes it is difficult to know if you are "talking" to a man or a woman (or homosexual).

I came from a very strong family in the Organization while living at home and even after I got married. My Father has ALWAYS been an Elder and my mother has ALWAYS been a pioneer. So, I followed in the same footsteps; regular pioneered and then when I married my ex-husband was M.S. material and shortly after we married he became a MS.

I noticed while reading the thread that a number of young women were viewed as the, "Temptress". That seems to be the lable women are given if they are attractive. Better yet; try having a Personality and a BRAIN. Then you become the Devil's SPAWN!!! You are always under watchful eyes and active tongues. Sound familiar girls??

I notice that in; "the world" things are quite different and that acceptance levels are at an all time high. LOL It's nice to be accepted finally.
