  I think BEFORE I started posting here Venice might have typed this story about what happened to me at one of the last doors I ever went to. Although it was quite embarrassing........ it is NOT why I left the organization.

  I was by myself at a door. The home had a Woodpecker as a door-knocker. You pulled this string downward which caused the beak of the woodpecker to strike a piece of wood which would make a knocking~peck sound. (Why didn't I just knock???) So, I start yanking on this string and the woodpecker starts doin' his thing and I'll be damned if his beak and head didn't break off!!!!!! Right about the time I'm bending down to pick up poor Mr.Woodpeckers pieces off of the ground, the householder opens the door. I was so startled and upset that I had broke this man's door~knocker; I look up at him with woodpecker's head in hand and say, "Your pecker fell off"!!!
  OMG!!!!!!!!!! Can you believe how embarrassed I was, he of course died laughing and said,"I hate it when that happens".
  Thank God he had a sense of humor about the whole thing but I COULD NOT (after that) go on with my presentation and asked if I might come back at a different time. LOL What a f---ing moron; to this day I cannot believe that I said something soo stupid.

  I hope that you all enjoy and find the humor in this. Everyone in the car group did.

  GREAT post!!!!! I totally agree. Meeting attendence is down EVERYWHERE!(I know this is a fact as I haven't been out that long) I don't see how their numbers are increasing. They're a bunch of LIARS!

  if in fact, the recent donation of blood therapy equipment(refrenced in the link above) is a new chapter in watchtower community service i will be the first to applaud them.

  however, i will reserve a negative attitude about accepting this action as a genuine act of altruism on the part fo the society.. how many of us, during our jw days participated in something as simple as a "walk-a-thon"?

  Should America Start Closing the Borders?

  my hubby & i had a debate tonight, so i'm kinda taking a poll..... my hubby says we should stop immigrations and start closing up the borders - except in cases of political asylum or a family member.

  Is just my opinion. This Country is supposedly all about Freedom. I for one wouldn't want other countries to follow suit if the US were to do such a thing. I enjoy the freedom that is allowed and don't want to be confined to ONLY the US. Just a thought.

  Harry Potter New Movie opened yesterday 11/15/02

  i took my daughter to go see the new harry potter movie yesterday.

  we bought the tickets last week on fandango.com.

  I went to the movies last night. Harry Potter just started playing. MAN it was playing on 5 Screens and you should have seen the lines. They sold out every showing. CRAZY

  I wanted to see it but guess I'll wait till next week for a matinee. Tell ya what I think then. LOL
