  one congregation in the 70's allowed only white shirts to be worn on the platform.

  if an out of town speaker didn't know the "rule", it was ok. the brothers kept a variety of white shirts in different sizes in case that happened.

  Not being allowed to date someone unless you had already decided to marry. How on earth would you know you wanted to marry them?

  Also at one hall it was considered the same as divorce if you broke off engagement.

  no joke.

  sept 1, 2003.whether a couple who are getting married wish to use a gift registry is a matter for personal decision.

  Last Assembly!

  just wanted to let everyone know that today, piph and i attended the last day of our last borg assembly ever!

  the feeling walking out was wonderful.

  my heart kind of sank a little when i remembered that i still had to attend meetings for a little over a month.

  within a few weeks i leased a condo on the banks of the willamette river just out side the city of portland.

  as she got into her car she looked at me funny again, laughed and just shook her head.. .
